Debbie, sorry I didn't respond quicker. There is a full explanation at the bottom of the page here. The basic gist is every 20 minutes of physical exercise, not required but for good health achievement, equals 1 mile. Like the gym, biking, skating, walking, running, swimming, pretty much anything. Just not housework. Ok? Let me know. The explanation at the bottom, tells you have to log and where to start. Happy trailing!

Is this challenge on-going? I'd like to join, but didn't know if it was a challenge I would have to join at the beginning. Looks like this one started in July?

If I can start this, does anyone know how to count miles on a stationary bike that doesn't have any distance counter? I'm going to my spin class at 10 this morning. We do a challenging 45 minutes of spin, then about 15 minutes of abs for strength training. I'm wondering if and how I can count any bike miles???

I'm not sure how to calculate the start miles, but half of Maine would be 114. I guess I'll start there? I will gladly adjust to the correct miles.

Hello and welcome to the virtual trail challenge world. I hope everyone joins in and has a good time.

This is how it works: for every 20 minutes of exercise will equal 1 mile on our trail. Now I'm not talking about day to day activities. I'm talking about what we do additionally to keep our bodies healthy.

We are going to walk the general eat coastline of the USA along the Atlantic. We are going to start in Maine and work our way down to the end of Florida. Maine has 228 miles. We are going to try and complete half of that this month.

Miles today or date
Miles remaining

Than we simply carry the re ain't to the next time we exercise. Ok now let's get through the Maine terrain. Enjoy everyone, I'll see you on the coast.
