My goals for here on out are simple. Keep doing what I have done to get here! Yoga, meditation and breathing mostly, but also to continue to help others feel better about themselves! That helps me so much! I also want to build my business since I am feeling able to do things I would have never done before!

I'm all proud of myself. Went to a church function last night, and didn't eat a thing!! Even two months ago, I wouldn't have been able to do that. So I'm living proof that you can teach old dogs new tricks!!

Ed drove Nick to school, and the car died at the turn-around area. I told him twice yesterday and this morning before he left that the battery light kept coming on, but he didn't want to hear me. So I ended up taking his car to work, and he replaced the battery and the alternator. So much for getting my credit card paid down...

But I'm doing good on food, and have already met of my goal of 4000 steps for the day.

Looking back, I think I've done pretty good with this challenge, even though it took me twice as long to get the point as most people. With all the stress I've been facing in the last two months, I'm just feeling good right now that I've not eaten myself into a tailspin, because that was my SOP. So thanks for all the help, guys and gals.

Looking back over my goals i get 7+ hrs each night by making sure i get to bed early
I am listening to relaxing music. walking in the country .cooking regular meals.
Considering Ian has been in hospital for an op and I had to spend 12 hours there while he was in for day surgery I had to visit breast clinic about a small lump which turned out to be nothing.
I have had time away from home and am totally unstressed at this given time.I have learnt to deal with stressful situations and know i can control what gets me uptight. emoticon

Reflecting on the past 4 weeks, my goals will be to re-read my favorite articles regarding stress before giving in to unhealthy stress reactions, journal when needed and continue to take a 5 minute stress-reducing walk at work.

This is actually a copy of my blog for today which covers my overall stress challenge and my progression...

I've taken the Stress Challenge for 4 Weeks now and this is my reflection. I went back and looked at my tracked stress levels and noticed that I have the highest stress on Monday mornings, and then it steadily goes down and shoots back up again Sunday evening. It's almost like I stress about my upcoming week before it even gets here. My mind fills with a lot of what ifs, especially when it comes to my job vs. Katie's daycare. I've noticed if I calm myself Sunday night with a nice warm bath after Katie goes to bed and put myself in a mindframe of ease--it helps with that and then a great run on Monday morning does wonders. I've also noticed getting my stresses out on the blog on Monday morning and having the wonderful support on Sparkpeople makes me feel a ton better (not to mention I get to vent to my good friend at work). When I started this challenge on Feb. 10th this is what I typed for my goals....

My goals are to 1. Gain support at Sparkpeople.
2. Stop watching tv when I feel sad or depressed and find something else
That makes me feel better instead.
3. Show my husband more affection. Since having a baby I haven't done
That like I should.
4. Stop panicking after every little snafu that happens in my day with my
Daughter, husband, or anything.

I've noticed just by being on Sparkpeople and joining teams and challenges I've accomplished Goal #1.
Because I've been exercising my mood has improved greatly which has helped me accomplish goal #2 and #3. I've noticed if I don't exercise 3 days in a row I have a dip in general mood.
Goal #4 I am still working on it. Somedays are better than others. As mentioned before, I think Mondays are the worst for suprises. Mentally telling myself to not worry over things beyond my control helps a little.

So overall, I think this challenge has helped a lot! Long term goals? Find ways to maintain my exercise and incorporate some yoga and using some breathing calming techniques. Oh, and work on Goal#4. I've feeling very postitive today. Thank you SP!
