I have the same problem. I admit that I am a slob. My house is never clean and it is a constant source of stress for me. A counselor once told me that I needed to make a choice as to whether this was something (1) I could do, but wouldn't (2) I could do and would or (3) I couldn't do. Once I decided which one it was, I need to find the solotion. I decided I could do it, but wouldn't. So the solution was to hire a cleaning service. Well, money got tight so I stopped calling the cleaning service and my house went to hell in a handbasket. It's amazing how much cleaner the house was when I had to pick up for the cleaning people.

I think your three hour plan is a good one. And if you find its not realistic, then start smaller. I've taken to cleaning or picking up during commercial breaks. I get to watch TV, but I must do something during those 3 minute breaks. Sometimes, I keep working til I finish the task, then I go back and rewind the TV and watch what I missed.

My house used to be immaculate every day. Every day.
Then I had kids and three daycare kids and a cat. My house is clean enough. It used to drive me crazy that it couldn't be clean everyday. But I learned balance pretty fast. I have to give my family and daycare kids the attention they need. Then my house. I used to stress on my days off to get ALL my house work done. When I couldn't it'd bother me. So, that took work too. Now I use my days off to fit in time to relax too. Never knew how important that is until I did it!

Good luck with the stress-busting! You can do it! It's amazing what one hour can accomplish :)

My terrible time management is my major source of stress. I lose my focus so easily! No matter what task, I always get distracted. Especially exercise time, because I don't like the idea of it. However, I hope to become much more efficient and gain a more positive attitude by the end of this challenge.

Best wishes, SILVERGROUNDHOG, and God bless you! :D

Is the shape of my house. I get very stressed out when I have to leave for work and it's in such horrible shape. I have animals, as well, so that doesn't help matters in the least.

I hope by the end of the challege to accomplish 2 things: Have a daily devotional time and have my house in such order that it would only take me an hour or less to get ready for company. Eventually, I want my house always ready for someone to stop by and totally organized, but for 3 weeks, I think one hour is sufficient.
