There's something called "Yoga Deck" for the Kindle, which is handy. It describes positions and even meditation tips, then has a drawing of a "complete" and a modified posture. I found is useful the last time I traveled.

Thank you for the iphone app idea. I've been thinking about trying some yoga as a stress relief aid as well as for improved flexibility. This is a good way to carry it around.

I'm less flexible than I used to be also, due to an arthritic knee and hip, but I'm finding (awkward but workable) adaptations and am happy to return to a modified yoga practice. I find in my stressful workplace that negative morale is contagious, and I'm susceptible to the gossip and complaining. It's so unattractive yet so easy to do! My goal is to remain positive - and when I can't manage that, to simply remain quiet.

I have the following app for my iphone:All-in Yoga

They have quite a few preset programs but the one I enjoy most is called Sun Salutations. It has some nice flexibility / stretching moves and is only 15 minutes. I love the music that goes along with it and it is a nice way to finish the day before I go to bed. I do this program and then do my Bible reading.

They have a free version or the full version for 99 cents.

I not sure I could do a yoga class as I know that I am not as flexible as I use to be but I am working at it.

As Reba says -- I am a "modern country woman," . I am as comfortable at a rodeo or on Rodeo Drive.

Reba: "Work hard. When you're done with that, continue to work hard."

Zig Ziglar - "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I love your stress busting goals.

They are much like my own.

I am making drinking water a priority. I feel my water bottles before I go to bed, so they are ready in the morning.

I too need to be more consistent in working out in the morning.

Lists can be a great stress reliever but as long as you don't put to many items on them and leave room for flexibility when other things come up. I know when I don't put things on my shopping list right away that it can cause stress. I have walked around the store with that nagging thought -- what did I forget.

Yoga -- I do a relaxation yoga every night before I go to bed. This really helps to get some of the kinks out.

Bible Reading -- I started a Year Bible reading program last year and fell behind during the Holidays. Instead of getting frustrated I renewed my commitment on the first of January and have kept it up.

I find that is one of my biggest stress factor is starting something and not finishing it. Sparkpeople has really taught me to start where I am at and not worry about what happened in the past.

my stress busting goals are:

DRINK MY WATER. one surefire way to keep me feeling balanced and in control is knowing im reaching my water goals every day.

NO MORE SNOOZE. i am the WORST at getting out of bed in the morning. love early morning workouts, but remembering thats where im headed in the limbo in between sleeping & waking is impossible sometimes. im trying to post pics and reminders where ill see them before hitting snooze has worked a couple times. but snoozing makes me late, which makes me stressed.

PLAN EACH DAY THE NIGHT BEFORE. I love lists. and planning. by planning the night before i make sure i get everything i need to do in, as well as a few wants & fun things. just gotta stick to the plan :)
