it has been a struggle to get everybody to have 3 meals together each week. Between jobs and schools, and all the other family activities, we struggled to get 3 meals with all us us together, but we did it.
Even though we only had 3 meals with ALL of us together, we had more meals with MOST of us together. That is helping to cut down on the snacking, since we don't have people making themselves something, then seeing somebody else eating -- leading the first person to go for MORE food! So we have less multi-meal meals.
In the process, we;'re also eating healthier now that we're paying attention to it. I didn't position it as a weight loss effort -- although we could all use that. Instead, I positioned it as eating healthier and spending more time together talking about our busy days. That really seems to be working, because we ARE connecting more... and better. Plus we ARE eating healthier. And at least in my own case, I know that I am losing some weight!
