At first, I was feeling like week 3 was probably the least successful so far for our family, in regards to doing activities together. I was looking at the challenge the wrong way.Then I took a closer look at the action steps, and realized we are doing a pretty good job. We took the kids to the gym with us at least 3 times this week. At our gym they have a big play area where kids can run, climb, swing and slide and our kids take full advantage. So, they get their physical activity in, while also seeing us make exercise a priority in our lives. Yesterday morning, we went to the gym as a family before going on a hike. I was showing them that my gym routine is a priority and one that I don't like to slack on. I also took my daughter to Zumba class with me on Tuesday and she got to see how much FUN Mom has exercising. I think that it's important to teach kids that exercise isn't punishment or torture. So, all in all, it was a pretty active, great week!
