So last week we had the big family discussion about eating and since my husband does all the cooking, he was the one who had to make the most changes, but he DID! Now he and I and the baby are all eating together. Baby gets fed first, and then he either eats fruit or plays in his high chair until we are finished eating. It's great -- I love the family time.
As for this week, hubby has already switched over to brown rice and feeding the baby whole wheat toast. (I'm not sure if I can get him to switch to whole-wheat pasta, but I've got time!) He's cooking with less butter, measuring most things, and generally trying to pay attention to calories and healthier cooking techniques. I couldn't be happier! And I love the fact that our son gets a home cooked meal twice a day instead of relying on those prepackaged toddler food boxes from Gerber. My son's new favorite food: "beanies" (steamed green beans.) I love it. :)
