Well, i was thinking about taking your trays out of the living room, use another table and maybe have a fun , but short board game. This will encourage the kids that its something fun at dinner time. Do that a few times away from the "tube". forming new habits. I know , I know, easier said then done. But if you can offer them something exciting to distract them from the tube, but occupy them differently in a different room.....they will change. Just a suggestion. Good luck, Let me know how its going.

Help! My spouse thinks sitting down to have a formal meeting is unnecessary. Most nights he cooks dinner then eats it at the computer. We don't have a dining room table (yet) so the kids and I eat in the living room on TV trays in front of the tube, of course. Any ideas?
