I have started week one and have completed two steps: I had the family meeting and the screen time is cut down. They only get wii on the weekends and I have started timing that. It is so easy for two hours to pass without noticing unless your watching the clock constantly. Now the other step is my downfall. I have problems planning my week meals. That usually means scanning my recipe books or online resources and that takes me two hours or so to find what I like and that is a lot of time that I could have been doing something else. It is so tedious and time consuming and after a while when I am the only one trying to think of every meal, I get burned out and I rely on store bought goodies like chicken strips and taquitos. We don't eat out much so that is not really a factor. I do really well to get the kitchen clean and ready for the next day and get all my kids (4) in bed on time and get any me time which I don't normally ever get. But. . this is really something that I want to do because it would limit the stress of last minute "what am I going to fix today about 20 minutes before my oldest comes home from school". If anyone has any suggestions please drop me a line, I could use it. Thanks

I started this challenge three weeks ago and am still trying to complete the first major tast of reducing screen time. I had good intentions and great goals. However, one bad week with a one year old and two year old set me back. I needed a break from them so the tv was their babysitter most days. Now I am trying to get back on course and cut back on tv time. I am going to do my best and take it one day at a time.

I am joining this challenge because two months ago, my family was going strong and then fizzled, but I am determined not to lose out this time.
I am going to have a family meeting and talk with my family about moving forward with this challenge. As far as pre planning we do well about 1/2 the time. Scheduling is a big issue because of our commute to and from work, about 45 minutes to an hour each way.
We will get there though. I am determined to make it work.
