Hubby has now joined SP emoticon

He joined so that he can track his nutrition so that he can give his Dr. the reports. He has high cholesterol, but it's not from his eating habits or lack of exercise. He eats healthy, but now he can see where he might be able to make some improvements. He is a professional arborist, a tree doctor, and his job is very physically demanding. Plus he walks, gardens and just keeps active. He's about 20 pounds overweight and wants to lose that.

I'm just happy that he's willing to do this too. So I guess my family has made the change. emoticon

Keep it up; you're making great strides in a positive direction. We had our "family meeting" tonight. We set up a "family member of the week"- we have a dinner once a week that the family member of the week gets to choose. Then we talk and mention our favorite things about that person, or tellmstories about that person. Tonight, it was my daughter ella. She loved it and we all had a great time together.

I love thinking that we are all making healthier choices, not just for ourselves, but for our families. It's a big part of my plan.

Great work with your own family. We can do this together.

Thanks! The kids and I played a game this evening. They were more than happy to turn off their video games. So far, so good!

Btw, I love your signature. I have a ring with that verse engraved on it. It's meant a lot to me over the past year.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good in those who are called to His purpose."

Excellent, keep going. I have two kids around the same age as yours five and eight and a 10 yo. I know your kids will be grateful for whatever time u have.your dh will come around in time.

I had my family meeting with the kids yesterday. Dh just seemed really skeptical about the whole thing, so I opted to leave him out and hope that he follows in our footsteps. The 7 YO seemed very positive about it. The 4 YO obviously had other things on his mind, not surprisingly. But they are both looking forward to less tube-time and more family togetherness time.

And then we proceeded to have our togetherness time while watching tv in my bed because we are sick and didn't have energy for much else, lol. But that will change as we continue to get better. Today, we are up to playing a board game instead of screen time. Go us!
