Enjoyed this challenge. I was already dong some of it...planning meals ahead and using the weekly shopping list format. What I really enjoyed was finding big batch recipes that I could cook on weekends and freeze for week nights when I don't have time to cook, or for my teen boys to grab and eat. My freezer is now full of healthy family dinners that are easy to pull out and use. Will definitely continue this! I am so fortunate to have a programmable oven, as well as a great large crock pot and a rice cooker that I can set to start while I'm gone. On week nights dinner is ready for the table when I walk in the door. I stayed with this challenge for a few extra weeks because I couldn't move on until I cleaned my kitchen. Spent today getting rid of all the clutter and scrubbing down all my counters. Feels sooooo good to cook In clean and organized space! Now I'm ready for a new challenge. Thanks for the great ideas and recipes. I will continue looking back at this one for ideas!

I didn't overeat yesterday. That felt really good!
I liked this challenge a lot. I finished it today but there is still much to learn. I enjoyed reading the articles posted on the team page. The substitutions were very interesting and not something that I would have thought of. I will try to remember what I have learned and continue adding to my knowledge. Thanks for a great challenge!

planning my meals in advance
spending more time in the grocery store - reading labels and finding the healthiest options
drinking 8 glasses of water each day
getting in my 5+ servings of fruits and vegetables each day
treating food as fuel and energy for my body
tracking every morsel I eat each day
looking for new recipes and trying a few out each week (some of my favorites are Chef Meg's Cranberry Orange Creme Brulee (hubby got me the creme brulee torch for Christmas!), the broccoli-raisin salad, and gluten free crab cakes.
I am seeing great progress, not just on the scale, but in inches!
I will keep active on this team.
