I can't imagine I I will ever stop planning meals. This action has totally changed my life! I am organized and I am sure my grocery bill has decreased because my shopping is so focused.
I get what I can ready for the next days dinner the night before and again, this has removed so much stress from my life, I can't believe it. .
Saturday mornings i get up early, make a cup of coffee and sit with my computer and the grocery flyers. I plan for two weeks at a time, and I check for recipes on Sparkspeople.com. I do the big shop once every two weeks and then just have the fresh vegetables to get on the in between week

I'm continuing on with my planning meals ahead and substituting for healthier baking. I cook dinner for my grandkids several times a week and have been substituting fat free and sugar free ingredients and so far they don't even know the difference so that works for me!

I love to batch cook and it seems like lately I do it more often. My in laws are dealing with some health issues and unable to cook for themselves, they did meals on wheels for almost 2 years and finally said they cant do it anymore the food was so bad. So I offered to prepare a months worth of meals at a time for them, so I do alot of batch cooking and all of it is healthy due to their health conditions. I make them label them and freeze them then we take the 3 hour drive and fill up their freezers.
Now they have even asked me to bake for them I guess my meals are a home run.
