This has really set me on a good path. Planning this weeks menu kept me focused at the supermarket. I am great on buying what looks good at the time then not using it and having the veggies and fruit going bad. Everything I bought this week is on the menu for a certain day, I can't foresee any wasted food or money.

Finally finished with this challenge! It has been a long time. I am going to continue to plan my meals and shop accordingly. This has had the biggest impact on me, Planning (1) keeps me focused on what is important, (2) generally means that food is cooked or can be cooked within 20-35 minutes when I get home hungry in the evenings, (3) saves moneybecause I am able to take advantage of weekly sales and bogo's at the supermarket.

Longterm I plan to continue using the nutrition tracker and the daily report to see how well I'm doing. My husband needs a diet of specially prepared foods for his diabetes and kidney disease. I need GERD foods. We found that we can pick sensibly at restaurants when we want to socialize with friends or groups. I have made a lifestyle change.emoticon

I am on my way to better health!

Continue using brown rice, whole wheat bread, low fat cheeses, evaporated milk, frozen veggies etc for cooking. Keep a running list of groceries and shop off hours and not hungry. Wrote favorite recipes and saved some from the healthy recipes.
