I love Chef Meg's Herbed Bulgur and Lentil Salad and it is so easy to prepare. It is a great alternative to a regular pasta dish. I make a big batch of it and enjoy it throughout the week.

emoticon LADYDI09, you are so right about the SP recipes. It really helps to look forward to delicious healthy meals. Also, when you plan and cook ahead, you are able to store portioned meals, ready to go. That is a lot better than the prepared food section in the supermarket. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Love all the new healthy recipe choices. This is the second week where I've planned my whole week of menus and I make sure that I include at 3 to 4 new recipes that I find in the Spark Recipes section. I certainly strive to stay on track just there are so many interesting dishes to look forward to!

Well well well Week 3...
I've had a Spark changing revelation. For alllll my time on here, I never realized you can track the recipes, and put them in a grouping.
I didn't know you can find a recipe and then make it and hit the button that transfers it to the nutrition track page.
Seriously, this is changing my life. I always get burnt out on the food choices they give you on the nutrition track menus. You get like 25 to choose from, but after a couple months, you just can't choose anymore.
But this! This is cool. I'm already browsing the recipes and planning an all new menu for next week.

I made the Slow Cooker Pork Chop Dinner Spark recipe today. Popped it in the slow cooker before running afternoon errands. It was delicious. Chops were tender and the potatoes were wonderful. The green beans kept their fresh flavor.

I made Buffallo Sauce Cauliflower! It was supposed to taste like wings but not quite... Still it was a good snack. Cauliflower tossed in flour (I used whole wheat) and then baked in oven for 25 minutes. Then toss with hot wing sauce ( I used Frank's).,This is the basics but I am sure you could google it if interested. It is going around facebook.

I have tried so many new great recipes since I started SP. I just tried one tonight and it was delicious and very fast. It was Broiled tilapia parmasean. emoticon The best part is its so fast and easy to make I will be able to use it for lunch for me. It can be made for just one person at a time. The family liked it too emoticon

Today I made a banana pudding with several substitutions. I used fat free banana pudding mix, low fat vanilla wafers, fat free whipped topping and bananas. Layered it all up and we are having it tonight for my husband's birthday dessert.

I;m going to buy myself a silicone muffin pan to make the crustless quiches and some of the muffins. Reading the recipe modifications (in comment sections) is really helpful and this was one tip I thought was very worthwhile. It will be my "treat" for losing the first 10 lbs.

I've had great success with SparkPeople recipes. And I love trying new recipes. My husband complains that he never gets something twice no matter how good it is. That's not exactly true - but close.

I love trying new recipes! This week for new recipes, I tried "garlicky(is that spelled right?) brown sugar chicken" and "broccoli-apple salad." Both turned out fantastic. I got them from Sparkrecipes, of course. Why go anywhere else?

I'm putting applesauce on my shopping list. This sounds great. I also like to cut up an apple and put a bit of sugar or substitute and lots of cinnamon - delicious.

Today, I microwaved 1/2c unsweetened applesauce for 10 minutes on 50% power: stirred in a packet of sugar substitute, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I then spread it on my morning toast. Best applebutter, ever!
