My carbs and fat are almost always at the lower end. Sweets are only an occasional treat. Fiber is what I am always high on...lots of veggies. I don't care for salad dressings, or mayo, or most sauces, and NEVER eat gravy. Foods that are high in fat tend to have small serving sizes. If I eat them to get my fat grams in, I don't get full, but don't have any calories left to eat something else. I'm a very picky eater, which is part of my problem. I keep trying new things, just don't find much that I like.

I don't think there are any low cal high fat foods, since fat has more calories per gram than any other food. But there are healthy high fat foods, nuts and seeds, oils, etc. You may need to cut down on carbs or sweets to make room in the calorie allotment for them , but they are all very satisfying. Good luck, Pam

I'm having problems with going over on my fat and under on folate. I seldom go under on fat . So I am working extremely hard on cutting down on the fat intake.

I never have this problem, I wish I did, have you tried making your own salad dressing with olive oil, it's high in good fats, eat avocados and salmon, they are both rich in omega 3s

My guess is that if you're falling short of your fat range, you're near the upper end or going over your carb or protein range. Is that correct? If so, could there be some things you could swap out to make your nutrients more balanced?

I had the same issue. I never had the right amount of fat and then I was stuck at the same weight for almost a month. So I started to eat cottage cheese that was not fat free and I also started eating chili and lime almonds. One serving of the almonds has 14 or 16 grams of fat in them.

My problem is not eating too much fat, its that I don't usually have enough fat grams at the end of the day. I haven't quite figured out how to add more fat to my meals without eating something unhealthy just for the sake of fat. Most things with a high fat content also have a high calorie content, so I avoid those items. If I eat them, it decreases the amount of calories I am allowed, then I'm hungry. I need to find some high fat low cal foods.
