Yogurt has a lot of health benefits, but be careful about which yogurt you eat . . . a lot of the more popular ones are mostly sugar & artificial flavors, or else the "light" ones are full of artificial sweeteners. I used to eat the Dannon light yogurts but my husband & I decided we didn't want all that aspartame in our diets anymore so I've switched to Dannon Oikos Greek yogurts. Tried the Chobani Greek yogurts, and really loved them, but one time I opened one up & there was mold all over the top of the yogurt. I just can't bring myself to eat them after that!
I must admit, I can't eat plain greek yogurt, I have to get either the flavored (Key Lime is my favorite!) or fruit on the bottom variety (black cherry most often). And rather than get the light versions I just get the regular & cut back somewhere else. I just don't want all that artificial sweetener in my diet.

And I agree with the IBS control and also when I'm taking an antibiotic if I don't I eat a yogurt everyday I end up with a yeast infection . . . go figure! But it really does help, replaces the good bacteria that the antibiotic kills off. Proven fact!
