i have leftovers but was not in the mood to make them so instead i did fast food. Dang. i caved to that temptation so fast. i did do a little cleaning in my kitchen and picked up beans and veggies from the store.

my kitchen was not that much of a mess, i just was tired and crabby and did not feel like making anything. i need to work on my willpower so i don't give in so easy.

Sounds really good! It really cold here this morning and that sounds so hearty and warm..bet the kitchen smells as good as I looks emoticon
I am still trying to decide what to make for sure ...we don't usually have a solid plan for Sundays....
I am thinking that maybe I will just throw together some kind of a thick Bean Soup with some Turkey Kielbasa with some Cornbread and some Fruit..Oranges sound good on a day like this for some reason...body craving vitamin C maybe
We eat our main meal for lunch usually around here and it is already 9:30 AM and after two really long weeks I am feeling pretty shot :P

Dinner is home made turkey pie ( made from left over turkey) with lots of yummy vegetables in it but with a filo pastry topping served with Cauliflower and green beans and some new potatoes for DH.
Dessert is stewed fruit and yogurt for me and stewed fruit and custard for DH

Well the kitchen has had a makeover of sorts. Things have been moved around so they are easier to get to.
Crockpot is no longer in the corner but moved to a location that is easy to get to and to get to the socket to plug it in.
Pasta and rice all whole grain are now at the front of the cupboard and spices and other things are all sorted out and in date.
My steamer pan is easier to get to as is my pressure cooker so I can steam vegetables and pressure cook stews and soups keeping all the goodness in.
Freezer is slowly being stocked with frozen fruit and vegetables and other healthy stuff like chicken, fish and Quorn.
All the Christmas goodies are now out of the way mainly eaten but any that was left over has been stored away. DH will eventually eat them as he is on his winter diet (see food and eat it) LOL
So my kitchen is all ready for the new year I love a good sort out and this is the perfect excuse for one.
