Good Idea about taking the recipes with you when you shop. It helps to shop wisely and save money in the long run

I make pdf files of the recipes I want to cook and put them on my kindle or my blackberry before going to the store. Then I make a list of what I'm missing from my pantry.

I keep the recipes with me in case any of the ingredients I already have are on sale - that way I can stock up for future dinners or make double and freeze if I can.

1. Plan meals BEFORE grocery store trip rather than get there and buy what looks good.
2. Find some recipes so I dnt have to cook from a bag meal
3. Pack lunch leftovers rather than fast food lunch.
4. Learn how to use my food scale.

... This is going to be a long week .......
