I also do not like preparing meals , or cleaning up, but I do prepare something 3 x per week. I plan most of the week, but we eat light most evenings. Lunch is our main meal and Dh, isn't on this journey, but eats healthy when I cook. We eat out twice a week, grill on the weekend, have "fix your own" nights, and leftover nights as well. I do enjoy batch cooking now, and Dh is helping, and making suggestions. I keep lettuce and salad fixings, and fruit on hand and sometimes lean lunchmeat for sandwiches. We have a nice balance going where he gets his ramen regularly, and I get simple self serve too. We are both enjoying the frozen homemade soups, even though it's warm. They are quick to unthaw, and delicious.
I just finished this challenge, and look forward to trying new recipes together.
Deliver us from just going through the motions and help us heed your call. Breathe into us the restlessness and courage to do something new, something saving, and something true, that we may be agents of your love and grace and know in our bones what it means to be your people.
