This is a great idea. I already have a binder started which is to be my "official" recipe book. As we try new recipes and find the ones we really enjoy and fix regularly, I add them to this file. Separately I have a small stack of recipes to be tested. My goals include better planning and most of all utilization of what I already have. I tend to find a recipe, buy everything and only some ingredients are used again prior to spoilage. Your planning method would help with this as well and I could plan the meals using common ingredients back to back. Thanks for such a great idea!

I am planning my menu, making my shopping list and keeping it all together in a binder. I add in the recipe that I might be making each day and keep them together with the day that I plan to have them.I want to do this for about two months and then return to the beginning and start at the beginning again. I will leave room for changes that I might want to make and to add in any new recipes I might want to switch for one I've already done. It will be a lot of work for the first while but should make life a lot easier later on. I have two weeks completed already.
As part of the challenge I spent a few hours making my meals for the week to support my plan for my meals. I also cleaned up the refrigerator and I love it! Next week I'll tackle the freezer section or the cupboard with my cookbooks which is too full and so it's difficult to find the cookbook and loose leaf recipes I've printed out from the newspaper or other websites.
