Hi everyone - - - this is pretty new to me but I set out with the concept of 1 fish meal, 1 dinner salad meal, 1 chicken meal, 1 seafood meal and 1 bean meal along with 2 "other" meals to mix in each week to keep it lively!
Seems to be working for us for two, maybe three, reasons . . . the "bean meal" gets cooked over the weekend on the back of the stove or crockpot and is mostly a no-fuss dinner and the "seafood meal" has seemed like a cheat meal given that we both love shellfish! Another plus for us sometimes precooking chicken over the weekend. That prep work allows us to finish the dish quickly during the week when neither of us really want to "cook". We are finding new ways to "healthy-up" what we put on our plates. It's a new adventure in our house, this meal planning adventure..so far, so good! Good luck to all!
