Not sure why you are having trouble finding the recipe. Here's how I do it.

When I find a recipe I like, I print it. If you don't at least write down the exact name of the recipe.

Go to Nutrition Tracker
In the search box, click the RECIPE tab
A new box pops up.
Enter the exact recipe name in the SEARCH SPARK RECIPES box
(try Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken)
Your recipe should appear - click on it's title
The recipe displays. To the right is the Nutrition box (calories, carbs etc)
Beneath that box click "Add this recipe to Meal Planner"
A calendar will pop up so you can select the day you want to add it
click "Add food to today" as you always do.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem with entering fitness stuff. I can't find the list of all the machine exercises I do at the gym; the slowest walking pace they have is faster than I can do yet and on and on. I usually manually calculate the calories burned and put them in the quick tracker - or I just don't put it in at all.

Well thank you! I'll start there as well! Can you tell me how we can calculate this into how much we've eaten? The reason I'm asking is because i've added a recipe or two to the sparkpeople recipes but I can't seem to find it to add when I'm doing my nutrition tracking. That has been my main problem, that and finding all the many different workout videos that I use so that I can track my progress with that or how many calories lost with that so i generally round low on how many calories burned and high on whatever i've eaten just to be on the safe side! But thanks for your help with this and I'll be sure and do this the next time!

On my Mexican food, I started out by just switching to low fat cheese. The next time, I also changed to black beans and the next time I also reduced the amount of beans and so on until I was eating the healthiest version.

I plan my meals and cook enough to have lunch and dinner for at least 3 days of the week (and by then I'm tired of whatever it is and need something different). At any rate I joined this challenge because I LOVE to cook, i have alot of recipes but i need to know and learn how to substitute to make them healthy. My main weakness is Mexican/Tex-Mex meals but then I love good food period. I really want to make this life-style change so that once I am where I want to be I still have good flavorful food to eat that won't sabotage ALL the hard work I've accomplished thus far and will continue to! So here's to my first week on this challenge!
