I too am doing week 1 over...the weather here last week was stifling so half the time I didn't want to eat a full meal let alone cook it! I am doing my master list today and planniing my meals...there were several days last week where I thought "just order takeout" but I didn' night I made shrimp stirfry with fresh peppers, broccoli,snap peas and shrimpover rice instead of noodles...mind you I only had white rice but I measured it out...the worst thing about that meal was the sodium in the stir fry sauce but it was diluted with water from the here's to week 1 repeated! it's taken me more then a week also. I've never made a shopping list b4. I've alwways just went into the store n bought food. Now I'm going to create healthy habits. I'm stoked bc I will then pass this onto my children who will be eating healthier. emoticon

Great job! Lifestyle changes always start with baby steps. Cooking healthy does not have to be difficult and it seams as though you have made some good food choices to start on. The more you do it, the more you will want to do it.....and wala; youve made a lifestyle change before you know it. keep up the goood work

I've had a real hang-up about my week one goal. One of my main goals through this journey is to make a lot more of my food at home from scratch. Currently the going number of meals I make is a whopping zero. So this is a huge change in lifestyle. And whenever the thought about making my food came up, it would cause anxiety. And so I pushed it off.

How mind you, instead I ate fruits and vegetable five time a day for my goal (still productive) but still not healthy COOKING.

Last night, I managed to do it! I grilled some chicken, asperagus, and a vidalio onion. And it was so easy, good, tasty, etc... It was such the positive experience I needed to motivate me to keep on going! I have a couple more items to grill sometime this week and one more recipe for sweet potato curry soup I want to try.

I'm happy with my progress. It may not be as fast as I wanted but it's getting done!
