you can plan a weeks worth of meals and fix what ever you want off of that. beef vs chicken really doesnt matter as long as it is healthy which day you cook it. sounds like your not home for breakfast and lunch so start slow and do a week worth of dinner then lunch then breakfast. i buy healthy for all things so i do not plan because i am like you i want fish today not beef, so in the end if you stop buying junk food and only good healthy foods its ok

Okay so I am having some issues with meal plans! How do you start? Do you take stuff that you make normally and then go from there? Do you find new ones? I work 40 hours a week do I still plan breakfast, lunch and dinner? Can I start with dinner and work from there? I am sorry for all the questions I am just kinda lost. I mean is there I list I should follow? I have noticed that it seems to be easier if I set up the kitchen first and either list or just know what I have in there and what I will need to make the planning easier. And then what happens on days where you have chicken planned but you are in the mood for beef or want to order out? Okay I think all of my questions are out there! LOL Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! I just joined the healthy cooking challenge and am very excited. I have been menu-planning two weeks at a time for a couple of months now - what a time and money saver! Now I want to focus more on adding new healthier recipes but also making over all my current recipes that are loved by my family. I've spent so much time and energy over the last few years collecting and testing different meals that I can't give these up but I CAN improve them. I am also trying to save money any place I can and so this is also part of my goal here is to be able to eat healthy, have it taste good so my husband will eat and to save money. Yikes! here's to the next month!
