i started this at 248.8 pounds and am hoping i can lose at least 50 in one year.

Altering the way we eat is hard but I found that adding things slowly to the diet helped. Changing one or two items a week every week soon add up to you buying in the healthy options and the family take small changes easier as well.
I also look up healthy recipes on the internet and in books I borrow from the library. That way I have a few ideas to work with.

welcome to the team. sometimes it is hard at first to adjust the way we are programmed to think about food. it has been hard for me but once i was determined i have been doing healthy buying which turns into healthy eating. welcome and i hope that with the help of the sparks people you can achieve your goals emoticon

I hope to be able to plan healthier meals for my family and get better organized; to bring food from home for my work lunches and healthy snacks; and to add more fruits and veggies to each meal.
