As part of the first week challenge, I cleaned out and organized 2 drawers in my kitchen and the under the sink cupboard. I moved the cooking utensils that I use the most from a cluttered drawer to a container on the counter near my stove.
I've also planned my menus for the week, starting yesterday, and am pleased to say that I'm on track so far!
Its been interesting to read everyone's posts with their suggestions and strategies.

My pantry is fairly well organized, but I do need to evaluate my actual kitchen (it's tiny, so most of my pantry is removed from the kitchen, but it's a small apt so it's not bad) and clean and organize the fridge. Out of all of the appliances, I dislike the fridge the most. It has only two shelves (wire), three if you count the bottom of the fridge, and two drawers and it's small. So, just a little bit fills it up. I tell myself I'll keep it de-cluttered but it doesn't take much to clutter it.
On with the challenge.

The past 6 months have been chaotic and my kitchen shows it so today I am cleaning and organizing my kitchen today. My life is settling back into normal now and a clean kitchen will help me stay on track.
Last Sunday I had some girlfriends over to my home for a home party, which I don't like to do but did it as a favor to a friend. It did, however, force me to clean my house including my kitchen counters. I am determined to keep my house more orderly because I've heard that a cluttered home makes for a cluttered mind. Part of my new lifestyle is a home with less clutter. It's so nice to come home to my clean home every day.
Spent the whole day cleaning up the kitchen and making more counter space. I had it so jumbled you couldn't work on it without bumping stuff. I don't use my sewing desk so I now have my extra appliances on it. Very happy getting this done before my company arrives tomorrow. I got it done before week one was over... so I don't have to repeat the week.
