Glad you found our SparkRecipes, Karen! There is a whole world of foods out there to explore! Just pick an ingredient, plug it into the search box and you'll instantly have up to 200 options! Matter of fact, I think I'll go there now! LOL!

Karen, Don't think you have to enter them. If you "save"d them when you are in tracker they're already there (upper right) terribly handy if you ask me. emoticon

I try one new recipe a week. If I see a recipe I like on SP, I add it to my cookbook to try. You can create your own cookbook on SP and refer to it when you want to try a new or favorite recipe.

The first step in getting somewhere is by deciding not to stay where you're at.

I like to try at least one new recipe a week to "broaden my horizons" and add different dishes to our menus. Usually they are pretty good but occasionally there is one that is a "nonrepeater".

I hadn't used the Spark Recipe page at all before tonight, But I started to play around with it and have found some things I think sound good. My goal is one new Recipe a week. I think I will even enter the recipes I always use to save time entering all the ingredients into the tracker.

I have been having good success with SparkRecipes. So far everything I have tried has come out tasty without glitches. When I have spare time I'll search recipes based on an ingredient I have on hand or want to eat. While searching I may see unrelated things that sound tasty and I'll save them and then later when I need an idea I have a slimmed down list of only things I previously thought sounded good. So far they all have been, and it really saves me time for my food tracker to be able to just add a serving of something already analyzed.

I have been trying to add one new dish about every two weeks.. that gives me plenty of time to get the stuff I need for it and plan to fix it.. I am doing this with a friend.. we take turns picking out the receipe and then we have to report back as to how we liked it.. otherwise I would plan but never fix it..

I wouldn't call myself a bad cook, I actually do pretty well, but I find myself falling back on the same 10 dishes over and over again. I Didn't really notice it until We started to eat at home more often due to my trying to lose weight and our budgeting needs. Now I am really bored with the foods I make but not sure how to venture out. I also have a very picky 2 year old that I would love to help have a better range of tastes. I am hoping that this challenge will help me organize my kitchen and shopping routine so that I am more capable of cooking a diverse healthy meal, at least most nights.
