I love grilled pizza. It is great made with a whole wheat crust. As for the sauce, lately I have been passing on the red sauce and just using chopped or sliced fresh tomatoes. However I have also just substituted a thick marinara in the past.
We make individual pizzas for my son on whole wheat pita bread. Also margarita pizzas are generally made with olive oil, fresh tomatoes, basil and garlic. This would do away with the fat from the cheese.
