During week 4 I got my period. I did Day 3 workouts and an extra 20-minute total body strength and it made my period heavier. I didn't feel like doing anything for a few days. I felt very tired. I didn't feel like doing anything. Is it safe to workout while having your period? emoticon

Day 1 week 4 for me, was reluctant to start today, rough night not much sleep, feeling a bit down. But I made myself get up and do my boot camp workout this morning. Glad I did, I will hopefully get some more fitness in today, really need to challenge myself.

My Daughter is visiting for a few days. My grandson is also visiting while on spring break. This has thrown me off my routine but I will get back on. I think I have gotten a handle on the fact that this is a lifestyle change for me. A set back does not have to become a derailment. I will pick up where I left off. Priceless lesson.

I'm just a day shy of finishing the final week. It's been an up and down journey. I've gotten much better with most of the videos (that leg one is HARD though) and for awhile I felt like I had way more energy and excitement but this week I seem to have fallen out of that. I'm no longer in the mood to workout. I've been eating Ok, but I didn't get a whole lot of sleep over the weekend (not sure why) and I think it's messed with me. I'm hoping to get my sleep pattern back to where it was.

Any ideas for another great challenge? I enjoyed this one a lot!

Week 4 day 1. Still hate that first video, but I'm determined to come back to it later on down the road (after I get into better shape) and see if I can finally follow along completely w/o mods.

Just began the last week and already looking forward to my next challenge! :)

Yea, my final week! I'm doing ok, gradual weight loss, staying under 170 finally which is my very short term accomplishment. Just 6 more days left of the week for this challenge. I don't like having so many challenges at the same time so once I'm finished with this one I can look for some more. My long term goal which I am still hoping to get there by June 1st at latest to get to 135. Some weeks feels like i'm averaging 2 lbs loss and other times not. last week I measured waist and noticed I lost 2" so I guess even though it wasn't too noticeable gradually i'm losing in weight and waist. My next goal before long term is get to the 160 mark as right now been going from 168-169, 1 day was at 167 as weigh on my wii sometimes.

I completed week 4 and I'm not going to stop! I improved each week, and I want to keep the momentum going. There are some things, like my balance, that I'm having a time with and I'm not sure if this will totally correct it, but it has gotten better! The hardest workout for me was the lower body, where you do nothing but legs, and when I would have to make my leg go in a circle, oh my gosh, and then you're not done, because you have to go back the other way! I definitely need to keep doing these exercises!

Thanks, Nicole!!!

Completed week 4. Was delighted when I was able to do repeat the videos on three days. This has been a great challenge and I've enjoyed it. Weight down 6 lbs since I started it. The day 7 core exercises are hard for me so will be continuing that exercise while I switch to others for my next challenge.

Teresa,

This junk, whatever it is, is really going around here, as quite a few of my friends are down and out, also. I do feel better today, except I'm still having problems with my bowels running off. I was so elated to be able to do those tricep dips, without any trouble. I had a bit of a trouble with it last week, but the first 2 weeks, it was impossible! However, I'm an overcomer and it was done, and I now have a new exercise to add to my regime!!!

This is day 1 of week 4, and I'm thankful that today is a no cardio day. I'm not feeling well, and just getting the bootcamp done, made me even more nauseous than what I was, but I needed to get that done, for ME!!! Last week I was down for the squat thrusts and mountain climbers, just modifying them a bit, but today, I wasn't even able to get down, so I just did one of the other exercises Nicole showed in the video. Perhaps tomorrow, if I'm feeling better, I can revisit this one and try again.

My goal for my last week, is to add more cardio to my routine, repeat the strength training video at least one more time.
Eat enough fruit and vegetable

And stop stressing on losing and start focusing on the healthy changes that I have made so far in my life.
I want to be a healthy and happy bride by December 2013 emoticon

I just finished my 28 day bootcamp challenge and it was a good experience. I am feeling stronger and better about myself, and I can see what a benefit all the ST videos have been. I lost 5 pounds in the 4 weeks, but I look like I have lost more due to the tightening and toning that is taking place.

We are leaving on a long trip on Monday, and my main goal is to not gain weight, keep my numbers (blood sugar, blood pressure, etc.) in healthy ranges, and continue to exercise - both cardio and ST. When I return, I plan to do another 28 day bootcamp challenge. It's been so good for me. emoticon

Enjoyed this as well even though I had to repeat week 3. I'm much stronger and in week 4 the exercises have been much easier to do. I'm pleased that I've been able to stick with it this time round and am looking forward to starting a different bootcamp for September.

Made it through the 28 Day Bootcamp challenge. I enjoyed it because it made me accountable for strength exercises which I need. I need to find another challenge now.

Today is my last day of bootcamp. Glad I did it. Now I'm trying to plan ahead for the next 4 weeks. I need a new weight routine, so I think I'm going to take a look at kettle bells.
Has anyone out there used them and gotten results?

I finished week 4. This week was fun, but a struggle at the same time. I did each video twice, and some a couple of days I did 3 videos twice. I choose to eat more fruits and veggies, and log my food at least 5 days a week. I also choose 5 days to do a 30 minute or more cardio work out. My short term goal is to loose 5 more pounds before August 26th, next goal to loose 15 more pounds by February 26th. That may seem to be easy, however I have at least 10 events between August 26th and Feb 26th. My long term goal is to keep all the weight I have lost off for at lest a year, but cause then it will be easy to keep the weight off.

I know I can do it. It is just a matter of self discipline and determination.
Congratulations everyone for sticking to your goals

Each day is a new day!

Congratulations to everyone on Week 4! You are doing emoticon !

I finished Week 4 yesterday! emoticon Although Week 4, Days 2-4 were a struggle for me and required some doubling up, I still finished. If I'm not active for a day I feel like something is off, so this challenge has really helped me make a lifestyle change. I've noticed some minor changes in my muscle tone, which was an unexpected plus. I also have a lot more endurance than I had four weeks ago. I'm going to continue with the boot camp another two weeks and complete the daily video three times every day. I'm up to 45 minutes a day in cardio and feel great!

my body feels better and is more toned, but the blasted scale hasn't gone down in a week. I've only lost 4 lbs since starting this challenge three weeks ago, but in truth, I feel so much better that I will keep going and perfect it as I go. This is a drastic lifestyle change for me as it is, so I'll need to keep going at my own pace.

Somewhere in here is my long lost hourglass figure.

We all have days like that, or I should say I have days like that. Each day is a new day, I have a chocolate tooth that can not be silenced easily so I let the tooth have it's way at least once a week. I also make sure I do extra cardio to make up for my chocolate tooth having her way. emoticon

I try to do extra so that if I do have a day that I am feeling a little sluggish I can say well I did do extra yesterday, but then the next day I feel like I have to do more to make up for the day I was feeling sluggish. I did an hour of cardio today so I only have to do repeat of day 4. Keep up the good work. Have a wonderful week! emoticon

I am changing up my exercise. Sunday is a rest day for me. The pool chlorine has taken its toll. i bought kettle bells (3 and 5 lbs) and will start the routine tomorrow. I have played with the exercises to see if they would work. I enjoyed it.

Week 4; Day 4 - I got two days behind, but woke up motivated and with a lot of energy today, so after my walk I did two Day 2's and two Day 3's and then Day 4. It's my plan to be more even with the rest of the week!

I am on the second day of week 4. Yesterday I did a repeat of workout 1, did spinning a the gym and was able to stick with fruits and veggies. I am looking forward to completing the bootcamp challenge and have already looked at other challenges I can do to keep myself on track for my final goal in Feb. I am almost to the August goal . I have 5 more pounds to loose by August 26th. I want to loose 15 more by Feb 26th. (26 is just a good number for me) This challenge has helped me to stick to a healthy diet and an exercise routine. This week should not be too difficult for me, because sometimes I repeat a workout if I don't feel like I worked hard enough or I ate too much chocolate. emoticon Good luck to all of you who are almost finished. when you feel like you just don't want to work out do it anyway. It is just for a little while and you know you will feel better when you are all done

Great job everyone on your accomplishments! I really think this bootcamp is perfect for building consistency. Up until yesterday I completed every single video on a daily basis. I also gradually increased my cardio to 45 minutes per day. However, after coming home last night after a long work week to find myself alone (husband took a trip out of town), I ate too many calories of comfort food and fell asleep watching TV on the couch. I'm a little frustrated with myself for making this mistake after I had been doing so well. I'm not going to let this mistake set me back more than a day though. I will do the Day 2 and Day 3 videos (up to 3xeach now) and get my 45 minutes of cardio in today. Instead of Day 7 being my cardio rest day this week, it was Day 2. emoticon I guess it is just a matter of learning from our mistakes, correcting the mistake as quickly as possible, and being willing to be flexible no matter what life throws our way.

Long-term goals: I'm going to finish my Zombie 5K training this week so from here on out I'll be doing the normal Zombies Run! on my phone to keep up with my running. Along with that I will continue to play Zumba on the Wii for added cardio and will begin X-Fit training next month for a change in my workout routine.

I am going to continue to do my videos everyday and will do the Wii Active workouts three to four days a week. I need to focus on eating more fruits and vegetables and healthy grains. I've got my water intake to a good level and I am taking my vitamins.

I got THE SPARK SOLUTION at the library today! How cool is that?

I haven't done a video for a couple of days, because I've been doing a lot of extra stuff - like cleaning out storage units and heavier gardening. I'm talking about lifting heavy things like cement blocks and bags of cement, boxes, plywood, etc. I'm counting that as exercise. This is after my morning walk.

I am so ready for this challenge to be over.

Cardio (20 minute walk), day 2 video today. Yesterday did cardio video and an extra "arms" video per the challenge. Went out to dinner with my husband and an old friend. I planned my meal a head of time and stayed well within my range. Feeling great today!

I don't really have time to do an hour or more right now unless I do multiple videos in the evening which, quite frankly, I'm not too thrilled with. I'd rather be outside. 100 degree heat at 6: 30 PM is a bit discouraging. The 45 minutes in the morning is about it.

Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

I hope your backnis better so you can blast this last week

I have really increased my fitness min thevlast weeks ESP the videos. When it's lower body I do as many short videos as I can to that area and visa versa, usually at least 5
I ve increased my cardio daily about 1.5-2 hours

Finished week 4 yesterday and seems I have gained half a pound. Then weighed again today and that has gone so it appears I stuck. Im signing up for another 4 weeks as 3 lbs is better than nothing and another 3 lb would be good. Guess I will have to write about my progress back on week one. emoticon

Day 3 of week 4. Cardio and video done. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere with my weight. I lost maybe a pound in 4 weeks. I've toned and tightened, but I'd hoped that the added exercise would have helped the weight loss. There is no feedback or encouragement from this group. I'm looking forward to being done with this challenge on Sunday. Can't happen too soon.

I completed the challenge---with a consistent diet and excercise program, about a 3 lb weight loss, tighter muscles (especially in the arms and legs), and more energy. Overall, I feel good. I plan to do another 28 days to make sure that I keep the routine. Anyone for another round?

Good luck to you all emoticon

Not so good with exercise this week, due to being out and about and very bad weather. But on days I do exercise try to do 50 mins to make up. Don't know how I am doing as my scales are rubbish but will weigh on wii fit on wednesday as usual. Fingers crossed.

I am very excited for Week 4. I plan on keeping up eating at least 5 fruits and veggies daily, 40 minutes of cardio on cardio days, and tracking my food. I also plan on repeating the daily workout video on the first 3 strength training days so I can get that out of the way before excuses come in! :)

I am midway in week four, and I am noticing that exercise is getting so much easier. I found an interesting way of exercising by doing high impact exercises in 10 minute intervals. There is a great set of free videos in YouTube called fitness blenders that uses this method. Four weeks ago, I felt like I was never going to complete five jumping jacks. Now, I do them off and on all day. I am planning to stick with the program of eating well and exercising every day. Good luck to you all.

Day 1 of week 4 and pleased to report another 1lb loss for week 3. 3lb in total but it is a good start as I am sticking with this for 8 weeks at least. Had 35 mins in pool this morning, would have been longer but got cramp in leg. My body telling me that I have done enough or that the water is too cold for any human. emoticon

This has been a fantastic challenge and I have really got a lot out of it.
I usually lose a steady 1lb per week but during the last 4 weeks I have lost 7lbs, I think the strength training / toning has been a big part of that and I definitely plan to keep that up going forward.
I am off to find my next challenge now! :-)

Finished. Done and dusted. Whoo Hoo! I will continue to work out everyday.I want to include more variety though. Some flexibility and balance with Yoga and/or Qui Gong. Also meditation is something I would like to try. I really enjoyed this challenge and i surprised myself as well. I want to take a couple of days to find where I am going from here. Then back in the trenches. Onwards and upwards.

Week 4 done up to day 6, I haven't done the cardio like I usually do but I did walk at the park for over 30 minutes.

Can't believe that four weeks flew by so quickly. Love these challenges.

Finished up the challenge and reached my GW. WooHoo! My long term goal is to maintain, and the short term goal is to set up my maintenance plan. Love these challenges that keep me motivated.

My last day of Bootcamp. Going to take a break from this until Sunday and start again. Had a challenging week 4. My birthday was righ in the middle and I was losing motivation. Think I have gotten it back and I am going to up my cardio (treadmill & exercise bike) this week. Might even get back on the Wii with those workouts once school finishes on Wednesday. I will be back. I love all the days EXCEPT for the glutes and thighs workout on the mat. Every part of me gets tired on that one! LOL Thanks! emoticon

Finished Week 4 and am impressed with the results. I've lost inches, a couple of pounds, and best of all, I have improved cardio function! I went hiking on Saturday and, unlike usual, I did not get winded. I know I need to keep this up.

Thanks to Coach Nicole for the extremely understandable videos.

This is my last week on Saturday, I have achieved my goal of dropping 1 dress size. and have a few days left. I wore my dress to church on Sunday and actually it is getting too big already and this is the first time I wore it. yee haw. I am getting all of my exercise done but have had difficulty keeping up with the paper work, I am too busy with all of my life happening with my new found energy. Thanks Coach Nicole and Spark People!

Today is my last day in this challenge. I just finished day 5, twice. And I did cardio Bootcamp video on DVD. These are getting easier every week. Thank you Coach Nicole, for your great videos and motivation.
