WEEK 3 - Day 6

Arrived home from our trip emoticon early afternoon. emoticon Unpacked and then decided to do my exercising before collapsing for the day. emoticon for 25 minutes around the house and then completed the 7-Minute Arm Toner video for today.

I am ready for emoticon !

Have to report a few days all at once since Internet service has been lousy. Got my videos logged and cardio but no report. Had to get those logged in spurts! emoticon

WEEK - 3 Day 2 2-mile walk and a resistance band video

WEEK 3 - Day 3 No cardio today but 7-min. Arm Shaper video

WEEK 3 - Day 4 2 mile walk around the hospital and a 7-min. belly blast video

WEEK 3 - Day 5 25 min. walk on the motel treadmill and a 10-min Lean Leg video

On our way home from being out of town for a week. Back to normal! But we'll miss the all the kids. emoticon

Well, I am doing some form of exercise daily (treadmill, Spark videos, crunches, squats, wall pushups, walking, etc.), but something is missing - I need to continue tracking my food & exercise - I will continue journaling my feelings/thoughts in order to maintain checks & balances - Looking forward to Week 4!!!

WEEK 3 - Day 1

emoticon Starting WEEK 3. We are out of town, but I completed a 2-mile emoticon and a 20-minute resistance band workout. Need to do the kickboxing video for today and tomorrow's video...tomorrow.

Visiting the kids and grandkids so I'm going to have to work hard to get the exercise in.

During yesterday's game I had a drink, but I tried to dance my way through the game. Since I was home alone that was easy enough without feeling judgement. At half time I took a walk along the river and I burned those calories right off. I struggled at the end of the night and ate more than I had expected. I really wish I would have remembered the apples on my counter. But I still feel pretty good about the day as a whole! One more day and onto week four!

Day 5 and I am doing pretty good. Not biking so much, too much fog makes it feel unsafe. I have done some extra videos to get in my cardio and took a walk along the levi after dark one night. Starting to see some results and not as sore this week.

I had the stomach flu for a few days of Week 3 (which amounted to about 4 days behind). Does that mean I have to start over? Starting 2 Days ago, I tried to make it up by increasing my workout. 2 Days ago I did the 10 minute video, then doubled my 2.7 km walk, yesterday and today I did 3 of the 10 minute videos per day and then did my 2,7 km walk. (Yesterday's walk being very cold and windy, today it was cold and windy AND I had snow drifts to contend with.)

I finished Week 3 day 2! I'm working on adding to my cardio daily but have been pretty consistent with it and change it up so I don't get bored. I feel stronger and I'm beginning look forward to the actual workout and not just the feeling afterward! 😃

Tomorrow I weigh in and start week 3. I have done great with exercise but food is still an issue though I was closer to my calorie limit the second week than the first. I will focus on the 5 servings of fruit/vegetables to get this under control during this third week!

Week 3
Day 1--done!
Day 2--done. I do like the videos, so I hope I can finish this challenge.
Day 3--done. I like the variety of exercises; always an adventure
Day 5--did videos for days 4 and 5; that coach nicole wants my legs to do things that are nigh on impossible! had to modify the circles section. of course, I know that just means I need to be doing those exercises
Day 6--video done. may need to buy some heavier weights; using 2 pounds now but seems easy. I'll keep them but maybe move to 3 or even 5 and see how I do
Day 7--the dreaded floor--I did the video twice since I was already down there. I need the core/lower body exercises but I don't have to like them. Week 3 DONE!

Week 3 check-in:

All week I have been exercising 30 or more minutes daily. I walked, shopped, gardened and did some heavy house cleaning. emoticon emoticon

I have walked 6,000 steps or more daily and I also joined another challenge...the 100 day of 30 minutes daily challenge in another group.

I log my food daily and make sure that I am eating lots of fruits and veggies...at least 6 or more daily.

The scale is going up and down...I was told to expect that since I am moving more, but that it should start going down after a few days...guess my body is throwing a tantrum because of the increased mobility and exercise.

Even though the scale is not being my friend...I have to keep pulling up my pants or changing my clothes to keep from having to pull them up

Well done, TweetfitN60!

I was pretty confident of completing the 28 day bootcamp, but circumstances have caused me to fall by the wayside. After catching up and starting strong on week 3, my husband fell and was taken to the ER and stayed and extra day. A lot of home health visits have been going on since. I began again by doing three videos back to back and in the middle of video 3 I became very dizzy. A got myself to the floor fairly quickly and sat there til it passed. My walks have been curtailed because I'm not comfortable leaving my husband alone. All these things have added up to my deciding reluctantly to drop this challenge and maybe just do what I can when I can.

Looking at the last entry here, it makes me wonder if some of the people who started with me either changed their mind and dropped this challenge or are still at Week 2. Well, surprisingly, I have managed to do the steps in both Week 1 and 2 after carefully reading them so I guess, I am ready for Week 3. Duh! emoticon

I jointed a Fruit and Vegetable challenge (it started on April 1st) in a team that I recently joined and it has been fun. If anyone else is interested it is in the Challenge section of Chair Exercise team. Also, I have done the "Eat Up and Slim Down" challenge (site run) and that is also really good.

I did do some extra videos last week (I like the short ones here on SP) simply because it is fun to mix up my workouts and I can do the short ones sitting here at my computer.

Getting and maintaining cardio for me 6x a week is going to be a challenge long term but I am just trying to keep it simple and focus on each day. I have also been pushing myself to exercise--walk around, do strength exercises---during the commercials while watching t.v. (I watch about 2-3 hours a night). I also am making myself get up every 30 minutes when at the computer.

So, I am pushing myself through this bootcamp challenge. I hope you are too.

I am starting week 3 and have lost 4 pounds so far. I am following the meal plan plus doing 60 mins of cardio every day in addition to the required videos and I expected my initial weight loss to be more. I guess it just does not come off as fast as it did when I was much younger.

I am determined to rise above my feelings of tiredness and feelings of not being able to continue to work out daily. I am having a rough day but I have been faithful to work out for 10 minutes a day and do one of the boot camp videos for the last 2 weeks so that is progress!

Hey All,

Well I have finished week 3 and looking forward to week 4. I am also on day 18 of my 4 week squat circuit challenge. I walked a average of 4.5 miles a day. I tracked everything that I ate. I drank more than enough water. I gained 1.8 pounds. I don't get it. I am committed and will not give up. It is discouraging though. Week 4 here I come. Today was supposed to be day 2 of week 3 but my back is killing me and I can't do the video. Bummer. will break my streak. but I still did cardio at work (walked up 5 flights of stairs, 5 times). Will have to do day 2 video tomorrow if I'm feeling better. otherwise need to listen to my body.

Started week 3 yesterday, usually I don't start week 3 but last week I worked out hard everyday and felt better every day. I also lost 3 pounds. I am going to work hard in week 3 and do the extra cardio on top of the cardio I do. I believe I am also going to do the other two videos that we had to do in week two in this week too. I feel motivated. I really like SparkPeople and the Sparktracker too. Keeps me going. Everyone have a successful week this week. I know you all can do it. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Week 3 Day 5: day 19 from bootcamp dvd 22 min cardio, 30 min from burn 30 dvd,

Week 3 Day 6: day 20 from bootcamp dvd 40 min total body, 3 miles from 5 day slim down dvd, sculpt arms, slim legs, trim tummy.

Week 3 Day 7: day 21 from bootcamp dvd, my choice, 30 mins from burn 30 dvd,

Finished week 3 and missed 2 days, I am going to start over.

A couple days into week 3 - need to do the cardio - last week I was ill and got out of the routine. I'm feeling better this week and it's time to get back in the groove. I even did the video with a friend this morning!

I made it to week 3!! Hooray!! I've tried this challenge 2 times before and never made it this far. I'm gonna say it again, Hooray!! lol I'm not seeing much movement on the scale so I think I better get out the old tape measure and do some base numbers. I do think my pants are a little more comfortable so that's a good sign.

Week 3 going pretty well for me, despite the holidays! I am up a pound but I think it's due to my cycle- so I'm trying not to be discouraged. Definitely seeing a difference in my stamina and clothes are fitting a little better!! emoticon

Wk 3, day 4. My scale says I'm down 2.5 lbs, but I think it's the cold floor that makes the reading off. 8-)
Slept little for the first time in years, and have a sleepless-night hangover.
Got 10 min of cardio in, but today is stretch day and there is no stretch day for this challenge. So I'll stretch and do the video, but will probably doze off in the middle.

On to day 3 of week three tomorrow, been doing intervals to amp up my cardio, finding it difficult to get the 5 fruits and veggies in but trying I at least make it to 3 everyday. Still finding it difficult to get the 8 cups of water in but drinking hot tea with honey helps (and yes I don't care what anyone else says I count tea as water intake). Anyways this is the farthest I've made it in this challenge yet and I don't plan on quitting :D

I just finished week 3 a few minutes ago. While I still have some work to do, I am noticeable stronger today than before I started. I am also finally seeing changes in my mid-section. My arms and legs have been toning up, but my middle was being stubborn. In the last few days, I notice big changes though. emoticon

Just started Week 3 today, and I'm feeling distinctly stronger and more energized! My goals are to:

- Do at least one 10-minute workout video per day
- Do 15 minutes of cardio 5 days this week
- Continue tracking my food and get down into my suggested calorie range
- Continue to drink 8 glasses of water per day

I pushed my cardio this week. I did cardio hard 6 days this week. It felt really great. It was a hot week but I made it, only 1 week left!

Nearly at the end of week 3 which I repeated because I slackened off last week.
Have started doing the walk and workout first thing in the morning and it's been so much better- set me up for the day. Can feel the energy flowing! Finding the exercises a bit easier

Just starting week three and feel good being halfway there! I know this is where I need to keep my mind pushing me through. This week will be the mental challenge to not let myself slow down as the tendency is when you're over the hump in the middle. Two more weeks to go!

Week 3 is done. I went to the gym to do most of my cardio, I repeated video 1 at least 3 times during the week, my strength training was at the gym. The part of the challenge that was difficult was the fruits and vegies. I am not sure why. I eat fruits and vegies every day, but because the challenge said to do it, I had a rough time at it, but told myself JUST DO IT! LEAVE THE CHOCOLATE IN THE CLOSET ALONE. I have really work hard at getting my weight down. I don't want to gain it back this time. I am finding that this challenge is more about self discipline that anything else. The videos are easy for me to do, I always end up intensifying them so I can feel like I have worked out. The difficult part for me is to get started. My grand daughter helps me out with that. She says, "are we going to the gym?' That is usually enough to get me to go unless I had to work later than I had intended. She will also tell me it is time for me to do my Sparks people work out! She is only 5 years old. She likes to work out with me sometimes or at least attempt to.
I am looking forward to week 4.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope it does not rain here, because part of my work out is going to be in the back yard. I am still working on putting together an alphabet work out that I can do in the back yard while my little grand daughter and grandson play.

Week 3 done! I feel like I'm developing a habit of at least a short daily strength session. After tomorrow (Week 4, Day 1), though, I know I'll be done with those mountain climbers and squat thrusts! This part has NOT become a habit.

I see there is a 7-day to a New You Boot Camp. I'm adding that work-out in after my 28 day challenge. I'll do extra abs every other day as well. It's part of my morning routine now: feed animals, make coffee, see hubby off to work (or just get started on his daily project), do my bootcamp. Every afternoon, 30-minutes swimming or just treading water

still here on day 7 of week 3 so tomorrow is my weigh in. Expect some loss as I have continued swimming daily despite the weather being quite cold (20 degrees) but getting better.

Will swimm later today having given pool time in sun to warm up a bit.

Day 1 of Week 3. I didn't lose any weight last week. Had a tough week, but at least I didn't gain. I do feel much stronger. I can't do the hardest ones on the cardio video yet, but I never stop doing high knees at least.

I should have no problems getting an extra 10 minutes of cardio in. I normally eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegs.

I am following a 5K your way training program, so my cardio is getting progressively harder each week. On my cross-training days, I will add 10 minutes to my cardio session. As for the fruits and veggies, I easily get 5 everyday. I usually have at least 1 serving of fruit with breakfast, 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of veggies with lunch, and 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of veggies with dinner. That's just the minimum. Doing it this way has made it a part of my daily habit; I don't even think about it anymore.

Day 1 of week 3, no weight loss for last week but being positive, no gain either. May sound as though I am complacent but I prefer not to dwell on my failings but pick myself up and start with renewed optimism. Still on track to lose 12 lbs in 8 weeks.

Weather been terrible so I have not been able to swim daily as normal but I have dragged out my exercise gear and doing indoor aerobics and toning.

I just started week three. Everyone seems to agree that by the third week it gets easier. I learned that it is easiest to exercise right when I get up in the morning. That way, I am half asleep and don't' make excuses about exercising.
