Unfortunately, we do not get to choose where the weight comes off, just as we didn't get to choose where it went on.

Core exercises will help though. Planking, ball exercises, etc. along with the cardio and proper diet will get the job done.

Go for fit and strong - forget skinny!

thanks for the input all...week one into the bootcamp i havent lost any weight..but did lose an inch off my midsection. that to me is more important than the weight i guess..as for hip hop abs i do love it a lot..it doesnt challenge me as much as turbo jam and tae bo does..the most challenging workout in it is total body burn so i like to do that on my strength training days.

Oh boy! Maybe try cutting some of the carbs from your diet, or eat them earlier in the day. I know carbs are essential for body and brain function (and i could live on carbs alone), but whem I cut back on white carbs and even whole wheat pasta, my energy is better and I dont crave refined sugar. As weird as this may sound, m take surd you really engage your abs in towards your spine as you workout..they can trained to push out your biceps instead of pulling up and in like a girdle...lol.
How do you like Hip Hop abs???

As you lose weight and tone up the mid section will get better. Unfortunately that's where we seem to store our fat as we get older. Good healthy foods can help as well. Good luck... emoticon

i have been a avid excerciser for over 3 years. i just love working out. as i have lost weight in most areas my mid section continues to be my major problem area and i keep getting asked repeatedly if i am pregnant. i am actually suprised at myself that i havent given up yet but i am starting to feel very upset about this whole thing. i have started this bootcamp hoping for some results. I continue to do zumba, hip hop abs, turbo jam and tae bo along with it. i hope and pray for the best.
