Today was the first day of my bootcamp challenge. I'm hoping to lose 10 lbs. during these 28 days. I also want to establish working out consistently on a daily basis. I would also like to gain flexibility & strength, so I'd like to begin doing some pilates. Good Luck everyone I hope this 4 week challenge will be just what I need to begin healthier habits. emoticon

I have set a lofty goal for myself and am determined to achieve it. My goal is to be at 299 or less on August 30 (my 60th b-day). This gives me 34 days to lose 32 pounds, so just under a pound a day. This goal is extremely important to me and I am doing this challenge as part of my path to reach it!

I set myself pretty 'small step' goals so for this four week period I'm going to be happy with a loss of 1kg - anything more is a bonus. What I know is that even if I don't lose weight as far as the scale is concerned I get fitter and fitter each week!

Nothing tastes as good as being fabulously fit at fifty is going to look and feel!

I have been having some health issues lately. I have been working hard prior to that and then i had to slow way down. in 28 days ( well, now 27 days), i will turn 49. I have all ways started trying to get fit and healthy and never stuck with it. But I am 42 and two months ago my weight was 230. I have worked real hard and lost 20 pound and feel real good. I am determined to lose 50 more pounds. I really feel like I am going to do it this time. emoticon emoticon

I am looking forward to doing this challenge. I have the 28 day boot camp by Nicole and will be using that as well as:


Qigong or Yoga daily as I love both disciplines
Body Pump (weights and abs at a friends house who has a personal trainer come in)
Recumbent bike which I have in my workout area in my home
Walking/Running as my plantar's will allow
P.A.C.E. by Dr. Al Sears....

If I can do this for 28 days, I can do anything :-)

On a juice fast right now to get my micronutrient intake up....starting tomorrow on the 28 day bootcamp..

It's past time to get busy! I am a very mommy active lady because of my two very active boys. However, regular fitness has not been a priority on my one more thing to do list. I feel that today is a good day to start getting serious about my running. I have been jogging now for a while and i have plateaued at 214 and just need a little extra something to get me down closer to my goal. So, in the spirit of meeting these goals, I not only downloaded the app to my phone (and I really like it, too), but I also took before photos. They say it takes 21 days to get something to "stick" or become a habit. I am joining this challenge to hopefully get myself into a routine of working out again, and to just help hold myself accountable for my health and wellness. I gained over 80lbs over a 2 month period and then was diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease, which is an autoimmune thyroid disease. After a year of playing around with medication dosages I am finally at a thearputic level so I have the energy to get active again.

I have been doing cardio for 30 minutes at least 5 day a week for the past 7 weeks. My goal for joining this challenge is to add strength training at least 3 days a week.

I just joined this challenge today. My goal is to ramp my fitness back up after being sidelined by injuries for several months. I'm really looking forward to it!!! :)

I joined this challenge a week or so ago.

I have been walking a mile a day since June 10th..

I did Day 1's video for the first time today.

my goals are to do the daily videos and to walk a mile every day and to actually complete this challenge to the end, and hopefully, have a new habit established.

I have done this before--but am inspired by TINAJANE76 to do it again! So--challenge goals are:

1. to faithfully do the video EVERY DAY.
2. to get at least a 20 minute walk EVERY DAY--hopefully a run or a Zumba class or something like that but AT LEAST a 20 minute walk.
3. to get measurements today so tomorrow I know where I am starting--and to measure again at the end of 28 days.

I CAN do this and I WILL see a difference!

I bought a notepad as started writing down exercise routine that I like, and then I use the exercises I know I can do in what I like to call the 100 count down.
you take any 10 exercise and then put them in order counting down from 100, for example today I did
100 jump rope
90 jumping jacks
80 ski ( like ski side to side
70 mountain climbers
60 but kickers (like running only bring your foot as close to your but as you can. )
50 power jacks
40 step jumps
30 toe tap on the step
20 plank jacks
10 side twist with 20 lbs weight.

I switch it around too. Sometimes I use weights with the jacks. I try to use different exercises everyday. or move them around. so I am not always doing it the same way.

My goal is to continue keeping the exercise habit. I've gotten away from it a little bit, and since I'm on maintenance I know how important it is to keep it up. I stumbled trying the Spring Into Shape Challenge, but succeeded earlier with the January Jumpstart. My goal is to complete this 28 days (in 28 days). No skipping days or weeks. So far, I am consistent and happy with 30 minute walks.

I walk& do my wii-fit plus& free-weights. Have lost some weight& inches recently.
I like the challange . Learning more& being accountable. Plus having others to relate to.
Congrats on the no-smoking( we quit 4- yrs ago after 40- some years of smoking). Best thing I ever did!

Hello all,

I am new to the group. I have been working out steadily for about 2 weeks now and I have lost a couple of inches, which is very encouraging! I have 50 lbs to lose and I've come to a point to where I'm going back to college and I am getting a degree in the Healthcare field; which will require me to be healthier. So, dropping weight and eating regularly as well as stopping smoking will all agree with my new life path.
