I've never done a bootcamp approach so I'm kind of jazzed to give it a try. A healthier life is my goal.

I'm currently in training for my first marathon, which is in September. I joined this challenge to help motivate me and to get more strength training into my routine.

Finished Day 1 on Apr 14. One thing I realised is I am not as flexible as I thought and I just can't do any jumping exercises because of all the fat that flaps. It hurts so bad that I am going to make sure I finish this challenge and lose some of the flappy flab.

My challenge goals is to be consistent and to finish what I start. Since my long term goal is to get my the 55-57 more pounds by the end the the year, I have been doing exercises, but maybe not in the best way. Since most of my exercise is either walk/jog, mowing or swimming, the isn't much strength training in that. Having a regimen to complete is better for me.

I've been back at SP for a little over a week and have committed to daily exercise, I'm committing to following the 28-day boot camp to learn a variety of exercises and for accountability to stay on task. I know that I can make exercise a healthy habit if I keep at it. emoticon

I'm still not to sure about my postings, but anyway, I just finished my day 1 in Bootcamp. I got my heart rate going pretty well, but I sure did not do all those exercises right! LOL! I liked this workout, but I will need to do it several times before I get the hang of it, and I also need LOTS more room than I had! I can't wait to see what tomorrow's work out will be!
God Bless,

In the last few months, I've gotten to where I'm consistently getting some good activity every day usually 30-45 minutes of walking. Now I'm trying to get myself in the habit of actually working out too because I know I need it, and I know when I do work out - strength training or other - I feel better. I'm still at the place where I have to push myself to do it and fight the feelings that I'm too tired or don't have enough time. I joined this challenge to motivate myself to stick to a routine.

I also signed up for SP last year and it was not until a year later that I started using all the resources. When I started this year I saw a drop of 6 lbs in the first month but with some family emergency trips and final exams I fell off the wagon. I plan to start over where I left off and become healthier and fitter. I find it that by participating in a challenge it motivates me to do better and stay accountable.

I walked my first 5k this past Saturday (Color Me Rad in Tulsa). I did a 20 min per mile pace and am still very very sore. I thought walking 3 miles at 20 min would be no big deal and I'm determined to get to a point where, not only can I beat that time, but I can complete 5k without any soreness afterwards.

I started SP in May, 2013. I've lost 39 pounds. I'm happy with that, but I want to get the scale to moving again....in the right direction! I'm tired of the 1-2 lb. yo-yoing. I have thought about joining this bootcamp for a long time now, but I was always afraid of failure. I have MS, so I can't do "major" exercises. But, I can see that my strength has greatly improved. I'm not ready to run a 5K or anything, but I'm happy with my increased strength and energy. I've tracked regularly (fitness/nutrition) since I've started. Now, it's time to take it up a notch. Here's my goals:
1. To lose 1-2 lbs per week.
2. To gain addition strength and stamina.
3. To exercise for 28 days straight--no excuses!
4. To be proud of what ever I accomplish.

This will be my second time that I have done this challenge but since the last time that I did this challenge I had a different job. I changed jobs and my hours changed but my healthy eating habits and work out habits did not change with it so I have gained back 25 lbs. Hoping this will kick start my weight loss again.

The answer is YES YOU CAN! Just keep at it. I started +1 Day Challenge on January 1st with another team that I belong to and each day we add one more rep and each month we add one new exercise: Today I did 85 deep squats, 54 pushups and 26 lunges (each leg). This challenge is going for the entire year and I want to win the prize. Already my "prize" has been being able to wear some skin tight black work out pants (you know the ones) and I don't look half bad! emoticon

Can I stay on day 1 toning video for a few days before moving on? I don't just want to struggle through it, I want to be able to do it well. At the end of this challenge, I would like to have a stronger body, hips, knees, lungs and heart & be able to do more things without hurting like playing with my grandkids (7 & 3). I would like to be able to sit on the floor with them & not struggle to get back up.

I want to be in the best shape & health that I can.

I'm getting the videos done for the workouts each day, but I am finding it very difficult to get in the 30 minute cardio, even in 10 minute increments. This is something I will continue to work at and find a way to get it in. I think part of it needs to be me getting out of bed when my alarm goes off and not hit snooze as I want the mornings to be when I get my workouts in. I am completely useless when I get home from work and its the time I can spend with my husband. Feeling a bit defeated right now.

I am on the right track exercising consistently everyday. If I don't do "something" everyday I am a beast...seriously. I just completed the Spring into Shape Bootcamp and this seemed like maybe it was different videos and I am hoping maybe a little more advanced. I am trying to work up to being able to complete videos 2-3 times. Strength and endurance seems slow for me, plus time in the day is against me so I really have to focus and make exercise a priority.

The race is not to the swift, but to the one who endures to the end.

I want to lose weight (45 pounds at least, over the long haul) and gain my self respect back. Don't know if I can do this challenge due to bad left knee, but I'm going to try.
