I started Sparking (again) October 2016 and have lost almost 50 pounds by eating less and walking 30+ minutes a day. Now I want to start exercising and here's my plan for this 28 days:

1) Complete a video each day
2) Complete at least 10 minutes of cardio 5 times per week
3) Track exercise and meals
4) Drink 8 glasses of water daily

The reason I decided to join this challenge is to help me stay on track to loose some weight, tone my body, and be healthier in general. I came back to sparkpeople at the beginning of 2017 after gaining the weight back I lost a few years ago. I have two children graduating this year one from college and one from high school and I just want to feel better about the way I look. I feel like being accountable to a challenge on a daily basis helps me stick to an exercise program better and I feel so much more accomplished when I complete the challenge. I can do this!

Tell us why you joined the challenges and what goals you hope to accomplish during the next four weeks:
Truthfully, I finally decided to get consistent about this health and fitness thing, so I'm on the Spark Coach program. I decided that I would join every challenge it suggested. Will it get overwhelming? I don't know. If it does I will stop and prune back the parts that are getting in the way. However, so far everything seems to work in conjunction. For instance, working out 10-30 minutes a day seems to satisfy the goals for 2 or 3 different challenges, so it's not actually any extra work.

Goals: I am a cardio junkie and as a consequence 'skinny fat' so would like to focus more on ST to lose the flab. I am at goal weight, can't go lower than 125. I have severe RA so have challenges with it being restricted to 5 lbs max lift on the left arm and nothing on the right.

When one door closes, I simply kick down another one!! Never Give up!

Loved this challenge so much that I'm going to do it again. This will be my 2nd time around. It is much better for me to have different workouts each day and tone all muscles rather than doing the same ones over and over. I also like the fact that these are all around 10 minutes which I can fit easily into my schedule. My goal is to continue to lose weight and tone.

Im doing this to step out of my comfort zone, never thought of trying a boot camp or anything besides walking. i have fibro and im always scared to try things for risk of flare ups, but i want to try this and trying it at my own pace and prove my head wrong that i can do this,.. that i will do this.

I really challenged myself before I went to Cabo last week and it really paid off!! I felt good in everything.

My 40 year class reunion is in May of 2017.
I didn't get down to my goal weight before Cabo but I never gave up exercising and got stronger and smaller. Everyone noticed. Had the best time ever!!!

I joined this challenge because I work better having a "program" to follow, and lately, I just haven't had enough time to drive to the gym to work out. I also like that there are short 10-minute workouts that I can use for quick work breaks during the day that will accumulate.

I'm currently on break from the 5% Challenge (Fall Challenge should be starting soon). My goal is to use 28-Day Bootcamp to keep my momentum up between Summer and Fall Challenges and into the cooler months of the year when I really want to hibernate. lol

I am on the third day of this challenge and waited until now to post my goals in case I wasn't able to do this. I gained over 100 lbs when I was the caretaker of a terminally ill friend. When you're in that situation, you really can't exercise at all or even really leave the person's side because 1) they need care every two hours around the clock and 2) you know constantly you have a finite amount of time with them, they're scared and in pain and you end up sitting beside their bed, falling asleep in a chair, and hoping they're able to sleep too. When she passed, I spent a little while just trying to figure out what to do. I'd been taking care of her like that for two years. Then one day, I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize myself. This site was recommended to me, and I'm here to work on at least getting more fit again.

I'm going to be honest. I don't know how good I'll be at this this round, but I'll do the work to improve. My goal right now is to one day do one of these workouts and not feel like I'm going to fall down and possibly throw up. *LOL*

Just returned from vacation--with a couple of extra pounds. Eating everyday in a restaurant makes it easy to put on pounds even when you're exercising! Planning to stay consistent with exercise and be more careful about what I eat.

I was out in the "wild" for 4 weeks and had a great out-door fitness routine - walking, biking, swimming, yoga - combined with some strength building. Now I want to continue it at home. :)

I am joining this challenge today because I want to firm and tone. I have checked out the gyms and programs in my area, and a personal trainer, but they all require a large financial commitment I cannot make on my retirement income.

So, Sparkpeople to the rescue. Hopefully, this "BOOTCAMP" will help me reach my goals. It can't hurt and the price is right. :)

My weight loss program is on track. I do cardio and walk 6 days a week. Now I need to add strength training to the mix.

My goal is to start over with working out and eating better. I have to admit when I tried this a few years ago I wasn't really dedicated and not ready to change. I am ready to do this no, I had knee surgery in October, then foot surgery in January. I'm finally able to move again n and exercise. My goal is to not be tired and to feel better about me. I'm happy but I know I could be much more happier.
