DELLMEL - - Don't forget the ice - - if you find that heat is better be sure that it is moist heat (dampen a towel and put the towel between you and a heating pad - 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off) or you might try alternating ice (20 minutes on etc) and heating pad and then ice again. Hope this works for you - - maybe some Tylenol also.

Thank you so much. Yes I need to. Right now I have it up. I have so much pain on the left side. The hip and kneee. I have been walking alot since I been on vacation.

DELLMEL - - I think maybe you need to put some ice on your knee (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off) and keep it elevated.. Take it easy on that leg for a day or two!!! Hope it's better real soon!! Next time, go a little slower!! LOL

29 Jun: I did the 10 minute crunchless ab video and really 'enjoyed' it. It is surprising how much work those 10 minutes can be - of course, you should work at your own pace. For fun this week played a few rounds of Wii golf with my husband. Onward to Week 4 and getting more fit.

I walked all day yesterday. To the doctor from the doctor. To my grandchildren and then home. So I wiuld say about 3 hours yesterday. And the same today.

Its still warm here too, Orange County CA, but NOT as hot as there. I've gotten 30min of walking in today though!

KRJPR - - Thanks. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow as I'm already feeling it in my lats in my back. But they really need the work out! I'm in Weslaco, TX which is deep in the Rio Grande Valley ad right now at 5:20 p.m. it's still 101 degrees so I did the first afternoon walk on the treadmill in our Park. We'll still get a walk in about 8:30 p.m. with the dogs before it's their bedtime.

Walked 1 mile this morning and then went down to the Exercise Room in our Hall this afternoon and did my first 20-minute 4% incline speed interval walking, did the elliptical glider for 2 minutes, and then the lateral pull down machine for my arms 2 sets of 15. Then when I got home my hubby and I went to the grocery store for about 15 minutes. Tonight we'll take another 1 mile walk around our park AFTER these 105 degree temperatures drop down a ways. Whew!!!! What a workout I had today!!

I, also, have been exploring the short Spark videos. I had not been strength training at all, and they have been an easy way to get started, particularly with abs and arms. On days it's too hot to walk, I've also found some good low-impact videos on youtube.

I've been using the SP online videos on occasion since I discovered SP in March. This week on Wednesday I really had no energy or motivation to work out but I really didn't want to break my exercise streak so I pushed myself to do at least one 10 minute SP exercise video. I felt so good when I was finished that I did a second short one and then another! How cool is that! Love the inspiration that I am finding here at SP. emoticon
