I am proud to say that I am still going strong during this challenge. Today, I went to the gym and worked out for 2 hours. I started by warming up for 10 minutes and then doing partner fit ball sit ups with my youngest daughter for another 10 minutes. Then I did 30 minutes on the exercise bike. I did have a slight challenge keeping m emoticon y maximum heart rate between 110 and 120, as the Dr requires due to my heart damage.
Then I concentrated on strength training for my legs for about one hour. I am so very tired and when I got home still had to make dinner for my daughter and myself and fold clean laundry and then clean up the kitchen. Tomorrow is a non-gym day with Spring cleaning and other home tasks, still burning calories and doing easily 10 minutes of exercise. I can't believe I'm almost done with this challenge. I want to start again for May, it's been so good for me and motivates me to keep up my fitness routine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am so glad that I joined this challenge,I have worked out every day but the weekend the Cardiologist told me to rest on the weekend until my heart is stronger!
I said that I am taking baby steps. I found out recently from the Dr. that I have permanent heart damage and have to adjust my schedule due to that fact! BUMMER!
Anyway, thank you so much for this challenge, now week three, hard to believe!
This is one group I plan to rejoin over and over again to remind myself of the importance of regular exercise, even 10 minutes a day. I also was told that I can't let my maximum heart rate get above 110-120, sort of hard to do without a heart rate monitor, still I do the best I can.
Want to get a Sparker and heart rate monitor and sports workout clothes as I can afford them!

I love breaking my exercise routine into 10-minute streaks. It's the single best way to get this girl into a routine. The prospect of a "MUST DO! 90-minute exercise video" would turn me off so quickly! Breaking it down into "it's just 10 minutes of my day" often leads to more :) Great challenge, and great job, everyone!

Having a husband who had major health issues last summer was a big part of this. If we didn't change our lifestyle he might not have lived long. Eating more fruits and veggies, re-discovering my Wii, resisting the urge to eat bad foods (and believe me that was hard) are the basics really. My biggest challenges have always been will power and impulse control but I'm getting there!!!

Whoo hoo! Congrats JDLANSK!

I did a Pedal N Pump class at my gym today and nearly died. I haven't been on a bike in 5 years, that might not have been the best place to start. It was a great workout though, and definitely more than 10 mins!

Very excited with my progress!!!! Went to the doctor and discovered that since the beginning of November I have lost almost 20 pounds!!!!
