Thank you Ardissa,

I appreciate the words of encouragement! I have not tried many of Leslie's videos. All I have is her 30 minute 2 mile walk that she actually did for The American Heart Association. It is not actually her video I don't think. I found her on Comcast Cable in the free fitness section. That is how I got started on her stuff. I really should try to find another one that I can do that is by her. And as far as the 10 minutes a day thing I do walk my dog every day twice a day for at least 20 minutes. It is not a very brisk walk but I figure if I add the 2 together I can at least count that as a 10 minute walk. Thanks again!!

Crystal

Hi Crystal,
I have 315 lbs to cope with for workouts too . . . it can be discouraging sometimes to find a fitness routine that works for me at this size. I enjoy doing Leslie Sansones workout DVDs too. I have a few different ones of hers that I switch up with or I just do other DVDs I have (I have quite a collection of workout DVDs from yard sales etc). I like to keep things fresh by changing up my workout plus I think some workouts will use different muscles so it gives my whole body some work. Look through coach Nicole's Videos, there are a lot to choose from so you'll be sure to find something you like . If it starts to hurt stop and do a different one. All workouts that I have ever seen have some kind of warm-up first and a cool down. I have some DVDs where some of the exercises or moves are too much for me at my weight so I will just march through that particular exercise and do the next one. Also an aquafitness class can be really great for those of us who weigh in the 300s. Well I hope you find some new ideas for your workouts, most important . . . be consistant with 10 minutes a day. When your body is ready to add more minutes, you will be thrilled to do that.

I am struggling with what to do! I want to get the most bang for my buck but I am afraid to stray from what I am doing. I am afraid that if I do something else I will not get what I want out of something else. I do the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home program. I do the 2 mile 30 minute walk. I do the same one every day! Yes it is getting old and yes I can say with her what she is about to do. But I am afraid that if I do something else I will hurt myself or not get a proper warm up or a proper cool down. I am 300+lbs and it is hard for me to find something that I can do that doesn't hurt me. I also have knee problems so I have a hard time with squats and stuff that makes me jump or lunge too much. I do what I can when I can. I do walk the dog twice a day and sometimes 3. So I get the 10 minute thing in easily! It is the actual workout that I need help with.

Thanks
Crystal

Tiffany

Depression is anger without the motivation.

I think depression runs rampant in society today because we are all so obsessed with making a living instead of living our lives.

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem...On your hopes you must lean...From your fears you have to wean yourself.

I hear you. I am feeling the same way. One month of exercise under my belt and I feel so much better than I have felt in years. I have the energy to do more things.

I have done well. I never thought I would say that about my journey into fitness, but I mean it. I am keeping up with my weekly goals. I am increasing my stamina like crazy. I went from struggling through a 30-minute mile to now routinely walking 3MPH 45-60 mins per day. Plus kettlebells, plus swimming, plus stationary bike when it is raining and I can't get outside.

Not only am I really improving, but I feel more energetic, regularly walk and play with my kids, am doing better with my work and even lost 10% of my body weight as of yesterday.

I am an excited fitnessphobe.

My name is Oli, and I am a recovering fataholic.
