This week is a real challenge for me. The weather is very cold now and it gets dark so early. DD is starting winter school sports (lots of chauffering). The first 2 weeks were new and fresh. Now the doldrums are setting in. I can't get out and walk, so all that is left are exercises on the living room rug. I missed yesterday because the truck broke down. It is only 10 minutes, if I can just get started then maybe the fun factor will find me. Wish me luck.

Well since Thanksgiving was this week I doubled up on a few of my exercises since I knew I wouldn't be able to do all of them when I wanted. But I at least got 10min of walking and swinging at a playground with my kids on the days I didn't get to do my bootcamp workouts.

Hi everyone. Today's the start of my 3rd week and so far I've done at least 10 mins 6 days a week for the first 2 weeks, most days more than 10 mins!!! Still going strong too. Today I've walked already for 40 mins! Yeah! Gonna keep it up for this week too.

My third week happens to fall over the holiday week and I won't be home so this should be interesting. I may spend extra time playing with my in-laws dogs or something similar to fulfill my goals. It's a holiday so might as well make it fun!

Hi,
My week is almost over and I have already completed my week 3 tasks: instead of just working out in the living room to a dvd (WATP series) I have been putting on my sneakers and going outside to walk with my daughter and her dog and I have been dancing again to the Just Dance series (2 and 3) sweating up the points for 20-45 mins at a time (and boy can I sweat when I do this). I am pretty sure that all of these activities and staying within my ever increasing daily calorie range helped with my 2.2lb lose this week! Woo! Hoo!

I completed week 3 while I was out of town and away from my computer, so I was not able to record my fitness minutes daily as I normally do. As far as trying new things during week 3, I printed out various exercises from the site and incorporated them into my workout routine. Some of the exercises, I performed in my office at work during my 15 minute breaks. Me and my mother-inlaw did a lot of waking while Christmas shopping and also took the stairs instead of the elevators.

I did two new things this week. First I took a walking tour of a town in the next county and then I went horseback riding (trail riding).

Hello
At the end of week 3 I am down 15 pounds. I am so excited. I have never lost 3 weeks in a row. The challenges are great although sometime I have difficulties with my injured shoulder. But I always do some other exercise in place of the ones I cannot do. For example, my doctor does not want me to do push ups or any pushing up from the floor. So I use the door and stand. or I do some other exercise while standing. I want more core. I need to work that into my schedule. I am proud of everyone who has completed their week 3. Thanks for listening. GOD BLESS emoticon ME. THANKS FOR LISTENING emoticon SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

Didn't do any of the 10 minute videos on the site, but I've been doing Coach Nicole's 28 Day Bootcamp DVD. Most of the workouts are about 12 minutes (not including the warmup and cooldown) Yesterday was day 12 and I did the 12 minute Cardio Burst and the 20 Minute Tone and Burn. I was dripping by the time I was done, but I made it through the entire workout.

Being the sometimes absent-minded person I am, I just commented in the Week 2 forum for the second time. I'm really finishing up week 3 this weekend. I'm rising to the challenge despite business travel and illness. Tried the 15 minute desk workout video and the printable version is going to be posted at my desk so I can incorporate it on work days I don't do strength training at the gym. I'm pacing more on conf calls when I don't also have to be looking at something on LiveMeeting. Overall I'm feeling pretty positive.

Good luck to everyone.

I tried the 28 day video and I didn't really like it. I thought it was rather slow. The new thing I did is added another day of squaredancing to my week. I have found that it is soo much fun.

You haven't failed until you quit trying!!

I plan to try some of the 10 min videos. I've been doing yoga stretches and it makes me feel so good. 10 minutes is so doable. It's also over before you know it started.

I just finished the 10 minute Yoga Fusion workout video. I haven't done yoga for years and man did that feel wonderful! My whole body is pleasantly tingling and feeling just awesome after the stretching. I was a bit surprised how my body shook during some of the stretches, but I had no discomfort. That's my sign to continue and improve on this. WooHoo! Thank you SparkPeople!

Today is day 1 of week 3. It's so funny I joined this 10-minute challenge and I haven't done 10 minutes at all. I think the LEAST I've done is 43 minutes! I'm so proud of myself for getting off my butt and getting up and out everyday and exercising. The crunches are helping too I can "feel the burn" after I do them.

Right now, I'm getting my coffee in my to-go cup and then I'm off for a morning walk.

When I was younger (20 something) I went to the gym every day - then marriage, kids and life took the place of the gym. After the kids got older and my life slowed down I didn't keep active, boy was that a mistake!! After being with SP may attitude and life style has changed - all for the good. I am making healthy food choices and loving exercise again! I think I will be here for a while longer. Thank you God!

I have surprised myself this week by looking forward to my workouts much more than I used to. Starting is most definitely the hardest part and I've had a couple of days where I started making excuses but then turned it around and did it anyway. I'm at the stage where I usually throw in the towel but something feels different this time :)

I've been walking daily and this week I added in some strength training. I know that building muscle will increase my metabolism, helping to burn more fat faster. I'm excited. I also think I may purchase Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp DVD to add more variety in.

Today it is my 90th day walking on the treadmill. This morning I did 60 minutes, because of all the time I will miss with Church activities. I will walk 20 at lunch and only have 10 to finish it out late in the evening. Keep on streaking with your exercise..

Started week 3. So far, I've been able to do 10 minutes or more of exercise every single day :-). I'm going to try to do a bit more Cardio on the Elliptical Trainer. I've upped my time on it from 20 to 30 minutes :-).
I'm going to try to work a lot more on portion control. I've had a couple of social gatherings which slightly set me back because of my inhability to control myself and my portions! So this is a skill I've made a priority to gain!

I have to say I have tried the video but they are hard to do with the baby so I think that pushing him around the block is my favorite right now :)

Sugahhuney, you made me laugh! I hear you!

Where I walk, I have to go down a bunch of stairs to get to the path and then back up when I finish. One day I was walking with my husband and he timed the duration of the walk. He stopped the timer when we reached the bottom of the stairs. I flipped out and had to explain that the walk is NOT over until I have huffed and puffed myself to the top!
