Week 1 went quite well. I'm already pretty comfortable with 10 minutes (sometimes a LOT more) with our Wii, but I can't always do that early enough in the evening. I started spending 10 minutes or so doing the walking path at my work place. I just got a new pedometer which can go in my purse or around my neck as well as at my waist since a lot of my dresses for work don't have separate waistbands or belts. I'm going to try to be consistent this week in using it, and try to work up to the recommended 10000 steps per day. I found out over the week end that at least on days when I'm not at work it's more like 2500!
We're planning a day trip to Sandwich MA later this week, and I seem to recall from going there long long ago that Heritage Museums and Gardens involves a lot of walking. I'm also trying to get my daughters moving, and I think I'm going to try to institute an evening walk around the block (1 mile) most evenings, as long as it's not raining. I've printed out a number of desk workouts and/or separate exercises and I'll try to work some of those in too.
