Theresa, I was going to start a new topic since I'd seen that you joined the same day as I did last week! Today starts Week 2 for me. My husband is going to do one of my WATP dvd's indoors while I do my strength training. It should be interesting, lol. The humidity is about 100% already and he's recovering from radiation treatment for prostate cancer. The heat's really gotten to him and we're trying to make this a great summer for both of us!

Today is the start of Week 2 for me. We have been getting so much rain lately. Hopefully I'll be able to get in more walks outside this week if the rain slows down. Otherwise I have my treadmill and a nice variety of exercise videos that I can do. Or I can play tag with my 5 year old. He's like the energizer bunny...he just keeps going and going :)

I'm on Week 2 also. I have been doing the 7 Day Boot Camp. They are 10 minutes and go very quickly. There are other videos to do also. Find them under Healthy Lifestyles, then fitness, then videos. Good Job.

Thanks for the great ideas. This week-end my son and I went for a walk (about 1.5 miles). I don't drive so I walk a lot. We will be walking on saturdays and sundays and this will be over the 10 min I am sure.

I'm finding the same thing! 10 minutes goes by so quickly and I just don't feel like I'm done yet, so I go for a little longer and before I know it it's been 20 or 30 minutes. It also allows you to have more fun and creativity with your workouts. There's no pressure to sweat like a pig for an hour!

Today is the 2nd week for me, so we did our usual walk today. I am feeling better about myself & I am committed to either walking each day or playing tennis. Also, on Sat. I will be exploring my local area for hiking opportunities. The reality is that by taking the pressure off (i.e. just ten minutes a day of exercise) I am exercising far more than ten minutes. So, for me the strategy is really working.

Yard work is good exercise on the weekend. Geocaching is a great fun way to go on an adventure and get lots of exercise. You can also look up local hiking trails and parks and go explore. I live in Abbotsford, BC, Canada so hiking trails and wildreness are in my backyard! There's also videos that have 6-15 minutes circuits instead of the full 50 min aerobic workout. Leslie Sansone-Walk at Home is great series. It's set up by miles but one mile only takes 10-15 minutes. Jillian Michaels-Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is higher intensity kickboxing aerobics and it has 6 minute circuits that can be done seperately instead of the full 50 min. I hope this helps!

So I am starting Week 2 of this challenge today. This challenge has forced me to do some activity on the week-end since I usually only exercise during the week. So today I will be taking a walk with my son while he rides his bike. Speed walking at its finest. This week I will also try to get out of the office and take a 10 walk during lunch

Any suggestions on how I can add exercise on the week-end?
