I'm really not sure when my week started, but I have been exercising the past 10 days for at least 10 mins. Other than cleaning house or going to the store I really didn't exercise much.

I'm still not tending to go over the 10 mins but I'm working on that too. I like the challenges because they make me feel as if I'm committed to wanting to do better. I WILL do better!

We can do all things through Christ.

I'm in the middle of week 2, too! So far, I'm consistent with a 10 min cardio addition to my regular workout...

I have 2 other 10min activities that I'd like to add to my daily routine, but I fear I will add too much and stop exercising altogether.... Anyway They're a 10min meditation streak and a 10min stretching streak... on the next few days i'll think about these new possible streaks. If anyone has any input/suggestion/idea on how to manage all these 10min, please let me know!

I am in the middle of week two. This challenge is helping to keep me focused, with eyes on the goal! Even though I had a houseful of company and several big meals to prepare over the Easter weekend, I still managed a short walk with the dog and 10 minutes hooping each day. Now am back in the groove with my usual routine: yoga this morning and Barre class tonight! I love taking part in a challenge to keep me going!

I walked at least a half hour every week day this past week. It was a brisk walk. I walked while shopping yesterday with my wife. I am planning on starting with a stationary bike and elliptical today for five minutes upping it gradually until I am doing 15 minutes 5 days a week.

Since it has warmed up, kinda, possible snow this week. I have been on my bike. Plus I am trying to get up and around more at work. I park farther away when out & about.

Some of these things I'm already doing which makes me feel awesome :)
-I park in the far parking lot at work because it's further and free. This is what helps me get my 10min every day because it takes me nearly 10min to walk to my desk (and the same to go back to my car).
-I also usually wander around stores to get more walking in and take longer routes in malls (time allowing), my work shares a parking lot with a mall so I go there fairly regularly (good and bad thing there)
-I don't own a dishwasher so I need to do all my dishes myself, and I love to cook so I usually have a lot of dishes, lol.
-fast/energetic music is how I workout at the gym too! I love spotify and it has so many awesome playlists!
-my fitbit is on every day, I don't know what I'd do without it!

Things I want to try to do:
-morning fitness...even 5-10min of exercises in the morning to get my body moving. I'm not a morning person so this will be very hard for me....but I'll try

My creative way of getting more movement in is if there is someone one walking on the track that is moving faster than me, to meet their pace. That is helping. I am moving a little faster now. Its actually carrying over to the weights that I use.

MORAVIANSTAR I park father away too so that I have to walk farther to get where I am going. It makes me have to take those extra steps. Keep up the good work on your walking. It sounds like you have a handle on it. You are doing an excellent job.

Pretty good about taking steps and parking farther away, don't have a dishwasher, so washing dishes is a must! Walk 5 or 6 days a week :30, 1.5 miles and this week I'm also raking leaves!

Wrapping up Week 2....
I discovered the benefits to walking to & back from the fitness center, plus walking to my 2 weekly Bible studies with a friend. These changes have really strengthened my body!

Starting Week 2 today! I have found that the commercials go quicker if I walk through them! Still working on the food logging, overall though, I am motivated and looking forward to finding other ways to get moving! Going to try some of the videos for cardio as well. Good luck everyone!

Edit for the end of the week:
Kinda tough as we were away last weekend, and we're going away again this weekend.
Plans for week three? The 7-day bootcamp video extravaganza!!!!

looking forward to week 2, and to upping my daily exercise just a little bit. Finding time to do things is easier, and finding the will to do something a little difficult is getting easier too.

Have a great week, everyone.

I started using an app to measure my steps, I have reached 10,000 last week and this week too!!! I walk everyday 6 kilometers, but that doesnt make it! Now I carry my phone in my pocket and I can reach 10,000 with my house cleaning or while doing errands. I parked my car at the very end of all parking lots, and I also started using the stairs wherever I go!

I am still here and working on week two. Am hand washing dishes, wearing a fitbit to track my step goal, walking every morning and evening and parking further away from my destination whenever I go somewhere. Adding exercise when and where ever I can. Am feeling stronger and getting in better shape and enjoying it.

So happy to report that it is Week 2 and I am still at it.....not that I didn't really, really, really want to blow off my daily exercise these last few days. You know what it is like; the initial motivation and excitement has died down and your couch and TV start looking very appealing. One day I left it too late in the day and boy, did I learn from that. I did it anyways (hooray!) and felt like a million bucks after a 15 minute workout video. The days when you just don't feel like it are probably the days when you need it the most.

I added a new policy of not getting to drove home until i went and did my ten mins. of laps at my local "track" usually after the third song i didn't want to stop anyway so i kept going until i was tired. and seeing as my track is the all night grocery store people don't expect you to lap them and help encourage me to keep going. also added stretches into my workday and car rides.

I started this challenge weeks ago and then was diagnosed with a fracture of my right foot. I've had surgery, 4 weeks of being non-weight bearing, and several more of getting around with a boot. I've done some of Coach Nicole's chair exercises but not consistently. I can happily report that I have finally had a full week of 10 minutes (or more) of regular exercise - it's been mostly the Stationary Bike but I have added in some light yoga and stretching too. I am moving on to Week 3 today and anticipate I will be boot-free by the end of this week!

Ugh...I hear you on the morning person thing. I know I'd probably feel better if I did my workouts early, too. Thanks for the reminder that sometimes the things we don't like are exactly the things we need!

I am NOT a morning person! But I have found that I really enjoy my day much more if I exercise first thing in the morning.

This week I plan to keep parking as far out as I can and to start hand-delivering messages rather than texts or email.

Last week went well - I did at least 10 minutes 6 days out of 7.

You are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

I am trying to do intentional exercising, but I get more satisfaction getting my exercise minutes in by doing something that needs to be done. Today I am organizing a room that we use for our eBay sales. I have to carry boxes and other activities that burn calories and build muscle.

I used to feel very self conscious when I did a home work out. I have come to realize that if I continue like that, aside from going for a walk, I'll never do anything else. So now, I just say to my self if the kids come home, especially with friends...."who cares, don't see them exercising". I just can't let what people think or say stop me from reaching my goal any more.

Anything is possible--except skiing through a revolving door.

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places.

Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down...

No don't sell yourself short. Its your house so if you felt uncomfortable with someone else in the house then just take it one day at a time. Feel comfortable with what you did the other four days.

I am a single mom with a 18 year old son. He came home early due to the rain and I was self conscious also to work out in front of him so I did think it is silly. Back in April I was doing a work out video when my neighbor came and wanted something. She started laughing at me so I am a bit more self conscious then I should be. Maybe that is why I have a hard time!

I did 15 minutes on my mini elliptical machine when the baby naps. She naps twice a day so I was able to get in 30 minutes total for the day. I started with only 10 minutes during week one, but increased for week 2. Am on week three and am still on 15 minutes. It's all I can manage before trying to get in some housework before the baby wakes.

I finished Week one after three tries and am ready to start week 2. I have joined a gym with the idea that if I have to pay for it, I'll use it. So far, it has worked. I have worked my way up from 10 minutes on the treadmill at 2 mph to 25 minutes at 3 mph with a 20% incline during the last 10 minutes to get my heart rate up. I'm having trouble keeping my heart rate in the target zone without jogging on the treadmill, then it goes over target and I have to stop jogging. I can jog for almost a minute before my heart rate shoots up way past target. Anyway, I just started working the upper body last night and started out very slow with shoulder extensions, back extensions, and pulls (I'm not sure what to call them, but you sit down, lean forward and pull back on the handles to lift the weight.)

It also took me this much time to get used to drinking 8 cups of water a day, but I finally made it. I keep a liter bottle filled with cold flavored water and drink two of them a day in order to get my water quota. (Two liters doesn't seem as much to drink as 8 cups of water, but it's actually over 8 cups! Mind games. emoticon )

My next accomplishment will be sticking to my caloric intake by sticking with the menus given to me by SP. I've talked my kids into joining me in partaking of these healthy meals and they have agreed. (my youngest has been after me to start cooking healthy, so she was the first to agree.) Now if they don't turn their noses up at fish and cottage cheese. emoticon

I haven't lost any weight this week, but I have only just begun. I haven't been sticking with my caloric intake and have been skipping meals. I hope to do better now that I'm okay with the water and exercise routines. emoticon

ps. mixing it up so that I'm not doing the same thing two days in a row made exercise both fun and kept me interested... and most importantly: Doing It!

this week Tue - Saturday for my 5 exercise days....

I picked out five different types of exercise

walked, yoga, equipment-free core exercises, free weights which are canned beans, Saturday gardening & heavy housework to finish week2

Day 13, wow almost 2 weeks done and I'm keeping up with it. Managed to get in 14 minutes today even with the sad weather. Need to keep the workouts varied.

I'm 5'8" and determined to make a change now. Ten minutes of fitness daily. Too many times I've fallen off the wagon, time to make long lasting positive habits stick. Can I do it?!

On day 12 now and I feel really good. It's getting easier to get my 10 minutes or more into my days. Week 2 is looking like a very positive one even with the rain. I'll still get my 10 minutes in.
I can use this to really train for my October 5K and get my time down to 30 minutes.

Well! Hi Lovenwoods! Who Knew? Glad to see you here.

OK!!! It took me almost two months to check off Week One. I walk at least 3 times a day. I have never included that as "exercise", although I can often fall back on it as my ten minutes. However, I can now announce to myself as well as everyone else I am back on the stationary bike, doing stretches before bed, and have a great video I am memorizing. But my fall back is the time I spend at night doing a routine of stretches before bed. This is the accomplishment I am most proud of because although some say its not good to exercise before bed, it has the opposite effect for me. My body is relaxed, recognizes used muscles and hopefully is doing a lot of work during the night's sleep. I wake up sometimes a little pained but in a very good way. I am READY TO MOVE forward. Have a great day Team! I finally get to check that box!

I've finished week 2, and can feel the positive difference of the increased activity. The activity creates more energy. So on to week 3!
