wow it is like reading a post I wrote myself! I can so relate to how you feel. Just started back the site after a long time gone. Will try to help keep you motivated and that may help me motivate myself too. Success to us both.
I was the same until I took the focus off losing weight and onto getting fitter. The hardest part really is thinking about it and moving from thinking about it to doing it. Commit to just 10 minutes a day. I always tell myself that I can do just 10 mins if that's all I want to do but usually once I start I will keep going after 10 mins. 10 mins a day gets you into the habit of doing something every day and after a while you will start to enjoy it, I promise

Way to go! you can do this, we will be here to help motivate you, keep blogging and we will help you. Here are the instructions for adding a ticker: I found them by using the search at the top of the page.
To add a ticker to your Message Board post: Roll your mouse over “My Trackers” in the top left corner of the screen. Click on “Start,” which is the first link down. You’ll now see your Start page. Click on the “Account/E-Mail Preferences” link in the upper left corner of the page. You’ll now see three tabs (Account, Email and Community). Click on the "Community" tab, which is the third tab to the right. Click on “Signature & Ticker,” which is the sixth button down. You’ll now see “My Ticker” page. Check the box that says “Yes! Show my ticker on the Message Boards and my SparkPage.” Select the ticker option you would like. Once you select your ticker, a new section may open up below your ticker option. If a new section opens up, you will need to enter more information, such as a date, start weight & goal weight, type of event, what you gave up, etc. (Dates should be entered as m/d/yyyy. Ex: 1/1/2011) Click on “Chose a ticker icon.” Click on the icon you would like to show on your ticker. Click on “Choose a ticker background.” Click on the background you would like to show on your ticker. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Hi! I lack long term motivation. I always have. I start something and get so excited and so on board that I feel so good. Then something happens. I hit a motivation wall. I dont know why. i dont know how. I just do. I have to figure out how to break through this wall. I kept hearing about this site and figured, why not. so, here I am.
I went to the gym this afternoon. 25 minutes on the treadmill and a few strength training exercises. It feels so good. I was starting to fit into an old pair of jeans, yet I stopped. Who knows why. I havent been to the gym in 2 weeks :(.
I have a wedding to be ready for! In a tad over 7 months. I refuse to buy a dress until I lose more weight. I want to be able to try on more dresses than just the ones at the back of the catalog damn it, lol.
So, I am here. I need a LARGE push and MANY pushes!!!
Any suggestions to keep motivated? I have pics of dresses in my office (so my fiance wont see what I like), I have counters on my phone home screen. Hell, one of my alarms is named DRESS SHOPPING for crying out loud!!!
Oh, one more thing. How and where do I find a ticker? If im gonna do this right, I have to do it all the way.
So, lets finish this story. I figure if I commit to 10 minutes a day, even I cant miss that, right?
