I read the Spark book while I ride the stationary bike.. It once was a clothes rack. emoticon MISSJOANY .... I understand how hard it most be. "inch by inch anyone thing is a cinch." step by step bite by bite drink by drink . emoticon emoticon You have your cheerleader! emoticon

Not all of us are fit!! I have a new knee on one side and a slipped disc on the other, making exercise difficult. But as you say, we should be able to do 10 minutes.

Working towards my goal!

Hi! Went to PT today. Did 12 minutes on the recumbent bike, then 30 mins of working arms and legs. I am so proud of myself. I got down on my knee and laid on my tummy, then was able to get back up. First time in a year since knee surgery. I was so scared I was shaking and started crying, cause I thought I would be lying on the floor and never be able to get back up!! My PT person, thought I was getting sick, so I made her scared too. But I did it, and all by myself. Now off for a therapeutic massage, then relax tonight. I sang all the way driving home through the rain.

Working towards my goal!

I did the yoga fusion video here on the site and got my ten minutes in. Been doing housework too and boy oh boy, that should count as a work out too. :)

I do some type of exercise every day even if it is only 10 minutes. 10 minutes is better than no minutes.
I have found some great videos here on SP to use on rainy days. Also I use these videos for strength training. I follow the seated videos usually because I have a hard time getting down on a mat.

I am getting out on my bike more and like that a lot and I try to walk at least 4 days a week.

So today I did 6 km on the bike then walked 2km with my granddaughter at school They had a beautiful program at their school for Grandparents day then we went on the Terry Fox walk together.
It was a beautiful day to be outside.

Feeling so energetic so I think I'll go bike for another 2km.


I really hope everyone is finding activities that you enjoy. Hang in there. You'll feel even better when you get to week 2, 3 and 4.


At the end of the day, be able to look back and say "I did my best today."

walked 4k; biked 4k; did 9 min. Spark People videos 1st - arm & shoulder dumbell workout and 2nd - 12 min seated core workout.
I really like the videos. They are helping me tone up with proper form.

day 1 -Sept 2nd-- walked to store 2nce ( at least 10 min) + 30 min punching bag + stretches

day 2 - Sept 3rd-- 9 K Walkathon + a 10 min yoga stretch routine on youtube

day 3- Sept 4th-- walked Jada to school & picked her up = 20 minutes

Third day in a row of 10 minutes of exercise. It's either walking or on my stationary bike. This week has been bike because it 's been quite warm out and I have asthma. But 10 minutes is doable no matter what season, day, etc. Thanks for the ideas!

Well I have to say so far I am doing great on my 10 minute commit while at work. i am sad to report that I didn't do any "fitness" on the weekend, unless you count running after a 16 month old baby all day.

This weekend I WILL get up and WALK for 30 minutes, even if I am pushing the baby in the stroller at the park.

Here is to all you wonderful people, who like me are working on a new and improved you. Way to go and keep up the awesome job!! emoticon

Yes I can one day at a time.

for some reason 10 minutes is the perfect mental block breaker to exercise. 10 minutes for me is walking to a neighbor down in a different part of my neighborhood. Better yet - find a neighborhood group to walk with. If no one wants to walk then walk to the neighborhood event (block party, etc). Somehow 10 minutes usually flys by!

Love the idea of 10 minutes a day....short, sweet and can be done anywhere. I am on my way to making exercise a longterm habit!! Woohoooo!

I try to do 10 minutes of cardio if I don't get to walk....cardios are hard...makes me out of breath...I prefer to walk...
