Liz, some one on spark people mentioned the fitbolt.com website. It is website that you can download as a google add on or just open the website, it gives you little 30 to 60 second exercises to do while working at a desk. Stretches, squats, etc. It gets you moving through out the day. You can also set it to notify you as often as you would like. I have mine set for every 10 minutes. I have actually enjoyed it and it reminds me to move more during my days at work. Hope it will help you.

Thanks, DLDMIL and THREEE! I have logged all my food so far. I think I'm in the time of the month where I want to snack more, though; so, I'm not super proud of my restraint in eating today, but it's not been totally out of control either.
It's so hot here recently, too, that I haven't yet gotten in my 10 minutes, but I plan on heading out for a walk a bit later when it's cooled down in the evening. I don't have air conditioning in my house either, which makes my work from home job a bit uncomfortable sometimes and, I think, makes me feel more lethargic than I would in a cooler environment.
Anyway, I hope you're having a successful Spark day, too!
Liz

10 minutes is a great start...plus, tho i've not pushed the streak concept YET myself, the newbies initial 'sign in' thread is an automatic reminder and usually an encouraging post for me...

emoticon one day at a time. Start small and build up and before long, he will hopefully be recuperated enough to find things to do besides eat. emoticon

I'm just joining the challenge this week, but I started looking for challenges over the weekend that would help me build consistency. I had been doing well being active, logging my food, and losing weight about a month ago, but with the heat wave and a loss of a fitness buddy, I've started to feel pudgier again, which is not what I want!
So, I went to the gym yesterday, and started out well with logging my food. By nighttime, though, I had overeaten after going out to dinner with Jeremy, the guy that I'm hoping will get to the point of wanting to date me exclusively. I want to spend time with Jeremy, but I know that a lot of the time we are together revolves around meals. I've wanted to go tubing with him or do other more active things, but scheduling and a knee injury for him have kept him from those activities recently.
Anyway, I definitely want to do at least 10 minutes of exercise everyday, but I also want to consistently log my food intake during this period.
