This team is a great way to meet my goal of 6000 steps every day. I love the idea of rewarding streaks! So today, after along time away from exercise, I walked on my treadmill for 15 minutes.

Everything is connected.

My goal is to get exercise as my habit and 10 minutes feels something that I can do. Normally I make this too challenging for myself so I'm learning to be more patient with myself.

Like Aubrey I'm back to get back! SP has always been they key for me, this challenge is just what I need to break some bad habits (over snacking, not exercising), start some good ones (healthy foods in healthy portions, be active every day) and live better. I have updated my goals and look forward to "seeing" everyone around here. emoticon

I'm back to renew my fitness efforts! I've taken a few months off with the stress of school (bad time to forget about my health, I know), but good news is that I have come back to SP and I'm motivated to get going again. This challenge did great things for me last time and so I'm beginning it today in order to create a new streak.

My goals for the challenge are to simply get more active and to complete at least those 10 minutes!

Looking forward to a fun and fulfilling 4 weeks :)

Hi Everyone.
This is day 3 for me. I'm glad I found this challenge. Right now it's the ONLY way I can get myself to be active. Right now I'm only doing the 10 minutes a day but I know with time and consistency, I'll work my way up to doing more.
Good luck everyone.

Put on some upbeat music.
If you find yourself dancing in your seat, take it a step further. Get up and start dancing on your feet.
You'll burn more calories that way.

Chelle

Newbie here. Just joined this challenge today. I've been struggling with setting goals that are too lofty and require too much effort. I tend to run out of time, or get stressed out, and then don't workout for days/weeks. I decided to tone down my goals, and only try to work out for 10 minutes every day. Even if I don't have time for a workout, or forget, I should still be able to fit 10 minutes in somewhere. I plan to use online videos and apps to get in my 10 minutes each day.

Hello,
I just joined this team today. My goal is to exercise at least 10 minutes on my elliptical machine every day. I want to build up my endurance to go the whole 10 minutes without having to stop. Right now I can only go about 2-1/2 minutes then I have to stop for 15 seconds.

Hi,
Goals:
I am using the XBX exercise plan. I am 5 days into level 1. I need to spend at least 8 days at each level. These exercises are supposed to be finished in 12 minutes or less a day.

Short term goal: Do not miss a day of exercise for the rest of the year.
Mid term goal: Get to the XBX level for my age, which is chart 1 level 11. Hopefully I will get there in late February
Mid term goal: get in 30 minutes of aerobics at least 3 times a week by late February.
Long term goal: XBX level 24, which is the end of the 2nd chart.
Pie in the sky: XBX top level 48.

Catherine in Nebraska

Check out my team:
Air Force Exercices, 5BX, XBX. Ease your way into exercise 12 minutes a day.

I joined this challenge some time ago. Because goals sometimes change, I decided to repost. My reasons for being here - I have medical reasons and I want to be able to play with my grandson, have more mobility and lung function (as in run up and down stairs without sounding like a steam engine!). Mostly though I want to do this for me - I don't LIKE being overweight!

I just joined this challenge. I am having a lot of pain due to a degenerative spine, but I think I can handle 10 minutes a day on my newly purchased treadmill. Hopefully I will establish a routine and then be able to do more than minutes later on.

I also started this one before. This time I am determined to accomplish my goals and am acting accordingly.

I have a cardio component that I want to do around lunch time - but not in the morning when I do my yoga (and yes, I know - and have done so - that a person can raise a strong sweat with yoga, which I do frequently do. I have additional reasons for adding in the cardio.)

Overall, I want to:
1) continue with my yoga - which is flexibility and which I NEED to be able to move!
2) add in cardio/strength exercises on a daily basis with a max of Saturday off although that may create problems in terms of my exercise schedule momentum.
3) Post at least twice weekly, if not daily, on this challenge
4) stay within my calorie range which is a challenge for me for at least 6 straight days a week.

I started this Challenge before; but today I am starting fresh. I have started exercising but I want to commit to this challenge, set some goals and transform my mind and body. My goal is to get in 10 - 25 minutes of exercise 5 days a week, begin to track my food and to try to post at least three days. Tracking what I eat is the biggest Challenge for me.

While I would like to have some super ambitious goals as I start my challenge, my goal is to simply aim for 10 minutes of walking a day. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I want to start small and build from there so I do not get overwhelmed. We'll see. :)

I'm starting this challenge today with the goal of having a 1-week exercise streak. This morning, I got up early and did Coach Nicole's 8-minute Athletic Interval workout, so I'm off on a good foot.

I also have a goal to win each round of my DietBet Transformer game, and the game itself. My nutrition's not too bad right now, but I need to add the exercise to start burning more calories. After my DietBet is over in May, I should be really close to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Just signed up for the 10-minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge - heading to the gym after work tonight - will do treadmill then will alternate walking and gym for rest of the challenge - this will motivate me to get back to the gym more often!
