My first week is almost done, and I had one simple goal for the week: to start a streak with exercise every day. I am glad to say that I have accomplished it! Six days straight, which is the longest exercise streak I've had in awhile. I almost didn't do a workout last night, but I wasn't ready to end the streak.

I'm joining this challenge to see what I am made of. This is the last week I am working with a trainer. I told myself I would continue with the workouts and use what he taught me. Ten minutes a day won't be hard to do. I know I can do this. I'm hoping I won't need to go back to him in a few months. SparkPeople has enough information and instructions for anyone to use. I'm taking the challenge to motivate myself into working out again. It has been three weeks since I stopped walking; it's time for me to honor my commitment to a healthy and vibrant me! My goal is to do a 10-minute daily exercise for one week. Then go week by week afterward for a total of four weeks. Breaking it down to a size I can commit to is key for me.

I need to get back in the groove after finally finishing grad school. Before grad school, I was regularly working out 3 times a week at my local gym and was feeling much stronger and healthier. Fast forward 4 years and my weight is back up, and I can't seem to get back in a routine with working out.

My sister is getting married in 8 months, and I would like to look better in the bridesmaid dress than I would right now. My goal for this challenge is to lose 2 pounds and to hit at least 5,000 steps per day for each day of the challenge.

Hey Carsu77, don't be discouraged. It is natural to hit a plateau. Try mixing things up a little: change your work out by adding weights, walking a different path, doing spurts of fast walking or jumping jacks, etc. Keep up the good fight and you will eventually see more progress.

Hi, I want this to motivate me to do some exercise, anything. I have been walking two miles a day, my weight loss had stalled, after losing 14 lbs. before I joined Spark last week. I am the same weight everyday, I go to Disney parks, walk for three hours and nothing, even though I have kept a journal of every morsel eaten (1200 calories). I am 65 yrs. and really angry at myself for not addressing this fat problem while I was young. Anyway, after a couple of days of giving up, I am back on track and I will survive this, with a smile on my face.

By the end of 4 weeks, my goal is to be consistently exercising every day. I'm recovery from an injury and I think I've been afraid to try anything for fear that I'll reinjure myself. I need to complete cardio and strength training on a weekly basis, I struggle more with the strength training. I did walk today for 20 min but hoping to complete a 10 min. video as well but I have paperwork to complete for work tonight too.

Hired a personal trainer today. Starting tomorrow I will work with her 45 minutes Mon - Fri. I'm also going to try to get 7000 steps on my tracker each day. These are my goals for the next 4 weeks.

I have been over weight all my life but recently gained another 10lbs. Doesn't sound like much but when you are almost 60 years old and are 5'1" and weigh 180lbs that's a lot. Nothing I have done lately has worked. Not sure if its because of the age thing or because I also recently came off antidepressants. What ever the cause it has to stop and stop now. My goal is to be consistent with 10 minutes exercise in the morning and the evening. Decrease my intake of fat. Increase my servings of vegetables to at least 4 per day.

One day at a time..

I would like to lose 20-25 pounds, finally. I fight with the same 10 pounds and it's winning right now. I got out of the workout routine due to a back injury. I have to get back into it slowly so this 10 minutes a day is a challenge I can do and with the Activity Tracker it motivates me.

I am planning on doing 10 minutes of walking and alternate 10 minutes of a simple strength training video other days. I am really good with walking but terrible with the strength training. emoticon

good morning all, emoticon I will continue to shot for my 10 minutes minimum. I try to walk a total of 5000 steps a day. Sometimes its all at once or spend out over the day. I started walking my dogs now they want to go constantly. This forces me to walk. Hagd all. emoticon
