Hello. I haven't been active (other than work - housekeeper) all summer and I am feeling it. Put some weight back on and everything hurts again. I hope that starting with 10 minutes a day will fire up my ammunition to do more and get back into a more healthy routine.

Going to try 10 minutes a day. Dr. orders changed from walking every day to walking out 10 minutes and back each day. I pointed out to her that could be 20 minutes instead of 10 and she just smirked. lol. Fighting anxiety and some other unknown health issue right now. I'm promised I will fee better if I do the walking. Been a member of this challenge for a while, but going to take it seriously for September. Meds caused me to lose 5 lbs I didn't need and I'm hoping now that my appetite is back, I don't blow it.

Totally just posted on the wrong part... OH well. Guess I'll have two posts! My goals for this week are getting outside more (I love to be outside but I forget how much and then rarely do it), take my dog for a walk around the apartment complex and then again at the dog park daily, and take the stairs as often as I can (Even parking on the hill at work instead of right in front of the building). So ready to get back to it.

My Goal is get in atleast one 10 minute walk everyday. The best time for me to do that during the week is in the morning. I usually arrive at work atleast 15 minutes early so I will drop my stuff off in my office and go directly outside for a walk. On the week ends "earlier" in day is also the best time for me. So I will go for a 10 walk around the block. That is the minimum I will do. If the there is time right before I meet the girls for lunch I will take another 10 minute walk and then another one right after dinner (before dishes and homework). BUT for now I will commit to my 10 minute AM walk!

Life is to short to take so seriously - Have some fun!

My goal is to walk slowly on my treadmill or with my emoticon for 5 minutes everyday and do 5 minutes of seated exercise daily for my 10 minute daily total. emoticon emoticon

I started this team and challenge yesterday to help me get back into Exercising. I'll mostly be walking but sometimes I'll do chair exercises.

I am just starting this. I have COPD and breathing is sometimes difficult but I can handle this 10 minute exercise even if it is just walking around my yard before work.

I never lose. Either I win or I learn.

I am new to this challenge but 10 mins a day? I can do that. Will probably do it walking the dog or playing on the xbox 360. I also have a Grandson that is about to start peewee football practice and I can walk the park with his older brother.

Carving out exercise time for my health has been a huge failing for me....enter this challenge!
I live in very hot AZ, but I can walk on the tread, do a SP video, walk outdoors after sundown or go to the Y.

I need to increase my stamina, and I think this is a good way to start - instead of jumping into longer workouts and just quitting a week later. Baby steps, and this is day 1!

This is one of the four challenges I have joined. I have a goal to complete two challenges by September 30th of this year. I actually started this challenge several months ago, but I'm trying to develop a habit of utilizing this resource more effectively. Ido not like to get on the computer daily so this is the hardest part.

Currently, I walk my dog, almost daily so that accounts for my ten minutes of exercise. I need to step it up a notch, so I am using different challenges to work together. I am in the balanced life challenge that has suggested I do some exercise at home today; so hopefully this will be the start of a new habit of adding activity every week.

I joined this challenge because I need to walk despite the pain. I've been working on seated SP DVDs and resistance band/free weights but I need to push through the pain and walk unrelated to the walking I do for my mainly sedentary job. I have residual knee and hip pain from a car accident 5 years ago. The hot weather set me back but that's an excuse.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Almost every day I do intervals in my treadmill for 50 min. and then I walk outside for another 60 min. So that being said, my goal for 10 min. is to do 10 minutes of toning everyday along with what else I do.

Starting Weight 175 pounds 9-6-14

This my second day. Started doing laundry and did not get around to my challenge till later in the day. I did 15 mins on the glider. I also did many trips up and down the stairs so I got a bit of activity there also.

I have very bad knees and my goal is to do the physical therapy sets every day to strengthen them and keep them strong. the sets are between 5 and 15 minutes for each of four exercises so I"m setting my goal for 20 minutes.

Today I started my walking program. I am linking it with this team to give me more motivational backup. I walked 35 minutes today. My plan is to do interval training by walking on my treadmill. I am highly motivated and off to a great start. My ultimate goal to start is to keep up the 30 min. training, I have a very sedentary job, I have two 15 min breaks, I plan on using those breaks during the day to walk around the building until I get home to do my 30 min interval training on the treadmill. I have also joined the 28 day challenge to give me a mixture of activities.

So my plan: Treadmill walking - interval training every other day. Strength training in between the every other day. That's it for now.

As I work full time (retail) and go to school full time, my schedule is a nightmare. I'm challenging myself to find 10 minutes a day for me.

I'm in the same boat as Sherri-- I'm not listing exactly what the exercise is, just as long as it's 10 minutes.... however, my default will be a 10 minute walk. I might try to make it a daily habit to walk to my grocery store to get my salad fixin's for the next day.... that would be an easy way to force the exercise...

Hello Everyone!

I'm just starting over since hurting myself and learning to live with chronic pain. My mother gave me a recumbent bicycle to use since I can sit but cannot stand or walk for long periods of time.

My goal here is to get er' done in 10 minute sessions at my current pace, and then pick up the speed remaining at 10 minutes. I've already begun with 5 minutes at speed less than 12 on the bike.. I also use 1 lb dumbbells and work my arms.

I got at least 10 minutes a day in excersing just by walking, or doing other daily activities. Sp the excersing was done while doing any activities. That is how I put my excersiess time in during my day.

My goal is do enough excersing to be healthy and safe. I have a tendency to over exercise because I love it so much, it has led me to the hospital.

my goal this week is to walk on the treadmill for 10 min 3 days and to do core three days this week, building up to 30 min on the treadmill and some weight exercises

I want to get back into the habit of moving my body every day! My plan is to walk/jog 3-4 times a week and work out using resistance bands or doing some yoga/pilates exercises on the days I don't jog.

This challenge falls perfectly into place with the Jillian Micahels Challenge I started today.

My hopes for this team is to complete it with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout. I'm also following a arm/shoulder/butt/thigh/back challenge (started that yesterday though)
I would like to lose a minimum of 5lbs. I think that's doable!

My other personal goals is to keep up with tracking my food and getting my water.
