K=Mart, Thank you for posting! I love to see where others are. I am actually... beginning ...to start thinking about what you are doing when I get the last 30 pounds off. I LOVE reading about some one else accepting that challenge. Keep up the good work!

Greetings to the Team. I was a hider...I joined the team months ago. I have achieved my 10 min per day walking the dog. It was already a habit but now I take credit for it. Its exercise. I have lost 54 pounds and I will not take them back! I now am going to count small bursts of exercise I have already started to add daily, especially upper body because I got a fair amount of toning to do. This is my challenge, to do the toning. My second goal is to quit debating about actually going to Planet Fitness because I joined but went out of state a few months to help family. I know this is essential to getting me to the finish line. I have lost 50+. I have 30 to go. I can now do so many things I could not do before....like get up off the floor. Now I can do it with ease and the use of my upper leg strenth. I really don't like exercise yet, but the benefits are life changing, so I am going to keep taking the baby steps until I am "there." I am close enough to goal now I am still in wonder but who cares, I gotta get to that finish line. I read about others doing exactly that and it keeps me going...one more add on until I get there. (My new mantra). Thanks for listening.

My goal for this first week is just 10 minutes a day. I can't really stand for that long, so I'm starting with the seated workout videos. My other goal is to track ALL my food. Tracking keeps me on track😃

I used to love working out between 30-60 minutes a day a few years ago. Now, I have put on a lot of weight and don't have as much time as I used to. I would like to work in at least 10 minutes of exercise every day to start a new habit forming again!

I'm training for a half-marathon in June. It's hard running outside in the Chicago-area, so I haven't been doing that much. I have 11 weeks to do this. So my goal is to do a workout a day. I'm joining this challenge to help keep me on track.

My plan is to work out at least 20-30 minutes 5 days a week, have 5 freggies a day and drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.

I will keep track on my calendar on the fridge and give my self a gold star for each successful day. I know that sounds kind of silly but it is a good reminder for me.

I aspire to get back on track so I can feel better. My weight is in a plateau, and I'm comfortable with that. However, I am not feeling well- not as good as I felt when exercise was part of my routine.
So... in order to pick that exercise habit back up, I want to exercise for 15 minutes every day. I'm used to doing more than that, but again, it's about getting back on track. :)

10-15 minutes of daily exercise is better than none!

My goal is to get back to exercising daily. I used to walk 3 miles 7 days a week, only missing if there was rain, but since I started working again I have been having a hard time making time for it. And ,lets face it, I am tired after work, so I say "Tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow." Trying to make tomorrow, TODAY!

My immediate goal is to reach a 21 day streak. Hoping that by then it will have become a habit. I would like to increase the amount of exercise time but if that does not happen, I would have developed some consistency with exercising. Deliberate exercise. emoticon

My goal is to walk/run/cycle/weightlift/hike/jump on my trampoline for 10 minutes every day for a month. It seems easy enough, but some days I am so busy, I am sure I will find it challenging to stay consistent on my busier days. I plan to combat this by encouraging myself to take "breaks" in my work/study day and using that to walk/run/do pushups, etc in place. Haha! I am sure I will be getting creative on some days, but I will rise to the challenge!

The journey is the destination. Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Good morning!
I've been looking for a way to get motivated to work out and be consistent about it. I am a runner that became injured last spring after/during a half-marathon. I've ran on and off since during the recovery process, but would easily get frustrated with the pain in my foot knowing that it wasn't time to start running again. Then, I wouldn't do anything for a week or two and then try again. This was counter productive as I my fitness level has now slowly declined by not being consistent and doing other types of workouts besides running. I recently purchased a rower as a cross trainer to take the burden off of my feet. I plan on using that often.

I need to get everything back into shape, especially all the muscles that surround my core and knees. That way, I will be ready to run again when my foot is ready. I thought setting a goal of exercising 10+ minutes everyday and start a streak would be the best way to get back into a routine of moving again and getting stronger. Getting a good habit/routine will be the best thing for me!

Have been walking for at least 30 minutes each day or doing circuit training at the gym. Today I painted ceilings and walls at my son's house for 4 hours. Don't know how many calories I burned but every muscle in my body right now knows that it was exercised today! emoticon tomorrow is my first weigh in since starting.

Got almost 2 hours in at PT today. Still going to try to keep the 10 minutes up doing some sort of exercise throughout the week though. Some days stretching is all I can do, but still better than nothing.

Started off with a bang 3 months ago, but slowly the wind has left my sails. Taking a new tack, and joining this Team to make me accountable for a new exercise goal: 10 minutes of any kind of exercise 5 days a week. Hopefully I will go from "I need to" to "I want to" with this goal. Also hopefully, allowing myself any type exercise will help me make it happen. I think I got too caught up in "I need to do strength training". Right now I just need to MOVE!

Took some time away, but am back to working on my goals of 10 or more minutes per day. I already do physical therapy 2-3 days per week, so the main issue for me is consistency on the other days.

My goal is to do 10 minutes of exercise daily in the evening. I'm already doing an hr workout in the morning but come the evening I'm sitting on my butt a lot. So it'd be nice just to throw in 10 minutes of physical activity, keep the physical momentum going.

I do the same thing. I can come up with a zillion excuses why I shouldn't exercise now. I usually give myself a pep talk and remind myself of why I want to exercise. I don't have to exercise (or do anything) but it is MY goal. I find that often I don't want to do something because I am thinking about how this is going to go on "forever" and all the weight I have to lose and it becomes very hard. I just try and bring myself back to the present and remind myself I just have to do this right now - not forever. It doesn't always work, but I would say more often than not it does.

I used to be very active and in shape. I moved back home to Pennsylvania and put all the weight on plus more. I am tired of back pain and sore knees. I want to play frisbee and soccer and enjoy summer, not dread it.

I have the same dread about working out. once I get into it I am ok but that feeling before hand is awful. I usually make up reasons why I have to wait to do it

My goal is to get at least 10 minutes of dedicated exercise a day (not just what I do as part of my daily activities), pushing myself hard for half an hour on an elliptical or bike at least 3 times a week. I'm a young adult cancer survivor with lung damage who gained a ton of weight on chemo - and then let it linger for 4 years. I'm ready to lose it - and through massive diet changes, I am down almost 40 pounds in 2 1/2 months with no exercise.

I have been dealing with bronchitis and then pleurisy as a result of this very cold New England winter and my lung damage, so I'm finally at a point where my lungs are OK to work out again! It's hard to walk when it's so cold out, but I am making it a point to get to my gym at work.

Live every week like it's shark week.

My goal is to start exercising in the first place! When it's uncomfortable to move your body and most exercises are difficult because fat gets in the way of the movement, it's harder to exercise. But I can walk, and I will browse videos here and choose the ones I know I can stick with.

I will participate in the 10-minute per day 5 times per week goal.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight O Lord, my strength and my redeemer!

My goal is to exercise for 10 minutes everyday.
Dancing would be fine too, I just have to do something.
And, the last resort, if I really don't feel like exercising, 10-15 minutes of yoga would be fine.

My longest streak was 2 days. Today I had a great day. Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy. One day at a time, now for tomorrow. I am feeling pretty good about tomorrow. This is the day I needed!

The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.

My goal is to do a minimum of 10 minutes walking per day no matter how I feel.

I am actually working my way up to 1 hour exercise group 4 days per week plus 1 mile walk 5 times per week plus 2 hours yoga once per week.

Right now, I am managing the 1 mile 5 times per week plus 2 hours yoga once per week with the occasional exercise group.

My goal is to stay live with this exercise streak. I have done very well. At least 10 minutes of excercise at least 5 days per week. Only, I have been trying to do it every day instead of just 5 days. I am afraid that if I take a day off, I will loose the momentum. So, I guess this is for 100 days in a row--at least 10 minutes of deliberate activity. I'm hoping after 100 days I will have developed a fantastic habit. I feel empowered.
