Going to start slow with some light aerobic activity and then ramp it up as time goes by. I may throw in some weight training as well.

I am joining this challenge today.

I joined Curves today and my goal is to workout there 3 times a week and to do other exercise, walking at least 5000 steps per day, Walking tapes, chair dancing tapes and stretching at least 2 times a week. I have a fitbit tracker which will help me keep track of my number of steps. I will increase the steps by 1000 every month until I am consistently reaching 10,000 daily.

I can do this emoticon

Today is the first day of the rest of my Life.

My goal is to do 10 minutes of exercise daily whether it is an exercise dvd, dancing, or walking. I am doing this to get me started, to establish consistency, and to get back to being fit.

Shannon: Though, I am not sure, that sounds like a workout to me!

Hi, all! I did this challenge two years ago. It's one of my favorites. I decided to try it again recently, but I had to take significant time off because I hurt my shoulder and hamstring.
So, I restarted the challenge about a week ago.
New goals:
Workout 10 minutes a day, every day. If I know that I can't work out that day, try to make up the time on a different day.

Good luck!!

I am starting this challenge tomorrow (1/21/15). Today I am having one of my dizzy days and can't keep balanced. (inner ear problem). My goal is to do the ten minutes every morning. Using dance, kettleballs, and hand weights. along with walking.

Question: We take 55 gal drums of water to the horse pasture every day and when we get it there we dip it out with buckets. Along with regular feeding and such, we usually spend an hour doing all this. Would that count as exercise?

Thanks y'all!

Shannon

My goal is to try to get more cardio in. I actually have been working on 10 minutes a day for awhile. I am finding it hard on certain days to get my 6000 steps in on top of my 10 minutes. So my goal is to get in as many steps daily as possible. I also want to find a way to motivate myself to get on my bike daily. I have motivation issues when it comes to getting outside on gray overcast Winter days.

My goal is to actually be able to walk to and from the elevator comfortably. I've been lazy too long and am now paying for it big time.

5 days ago I joined SP and started walking 10 mins per day. Because I couldn't do 10 minutes all at once, I broke it up into two 5 minute sessions until I feel I can push my body to do more. In just 5 days I've found a difference already. Not much, but it's still an accomplishment to me.
I'm getting married in September and I need to be able to walk down that isle and stand long enough to actually get married. At this point, I can't do that...so I HAVE to change.

My goal is to walk 20 minutes on the treadmill each day alternating speeds to average 3 mph. emoticon

I managed to meet weeks one goal and I do feel more energetic. I find it so much easier when I can do the walking of a morning. The three times I had to do it in the evening, I had to really push myself to keep going. For week 2 I plan to add some simple yoga (about 15 minutes) 3 times a week. Aiming for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I'm joining this challenge because one of the goals I set for myself when I started SP again last Wed was 10 mins of exercise a day. I struggle to be more active and make a lot of excuses; I'm hoping that trying for small consistent workouts rather than doing larger workouts less frequently will help me make a long term change.

So here are my goals:
10 mins fitness daily (an SP video alternating cardio and strength training)
30-60 min walks with my dog 3 times each week

Hi. My name is Tiffany. I have been on SP for a long time. I keep starting over because I don't do the 10 minutes. I hope to get in the 10 minutes plus my steps I do at work. I do over 10,000 steps at work mon. thru thurs. Plus post everyday. I usually only post at the beginning than I forget how long I've been doing the challenge.

I will do at least 10 minutes on recumbent bike each day. I usually do more (about 20 minutes), but have given myself an easier goal on the weekends to at least do it daily and meet the 10 minute minimum.

My spark tracker doesn't the mileage properly for my recumbent bike. Don't know why, but it only shows .6 miles when the bike shows 1.5 miles.

Try harder--in everything that you do!

don't give up. by saying that you can't do it, you're setting yourself up for failure. Take it one day at a time.

On Monday past I started the challenge for real.

My goal is 10 minutes of exercise, outside of my physical labor job, daily for 30 days. I WILL get this trophy, and the one for the other challenge I signed up for.

If I'm lucky I'll actually lose weight too.

:-)

Stop, start, stop, start, stop, start...you get it...I can not stay with this. Even the smallest (10 minutes, really?) commitment can't be kept...what is wrong with me?

Favorite quote:

"Which road should I take?" she asked the cat.
"Where do you want to get to?" the cat asked helpfully.
"I don't know," admitted Alice.
"Then," advised the cat, "any road will take you there."
