I plan to ride my exercise bike 10 minutes a day while using my hand weights. I think this challenge is a good way to make exercise a daily habit.

My goal is to stick to a routine, which I haven't been very successful at. But I just finished my first challenge and it motivated me, so here I am ready for another.

First day of the challenge, but started on 8/5. My real goal is 3 miles a day or 60 minutes on the treadmill, at least 5 times a week. Haven't missed a day since 8.5!!

This is my first day of the challenge and I feel good about starting. I think I can do 10 minutes a day with my busy schedule even if it means cutting back on my lunchtime. Good luck to you all!!!!

I've been trying to get back on track for a little while now. Finding time to exercise is sometimes really difficult for me. This 10 minute daily exercise challenge is doable for me. Even on a busy day, I can find 10 minutes to walk.

I am new to the challenge as of today. So many times I've started exercise programs only to completely fail and stop doing them altogether and I'm sick of it! Even on my bad days, I'm still going to get out of bed and lift some weights if I don't get outside to walk.

I am new to the challenge today. My plan is to start exercising and keep exercising. I've lost count of how many times I've started a routine and have the novelty wear off, or I've hit a wall and given up. Not anymore! I'm in this for the long haul and I need to make this a permanent lifestyle change. I already purchased the Spark Activity Tracker and it is fantastic. It is making me conscious about the goals I am setting for myself. My aim this month is to keep up with the exercise and reach those goals.

I'll keep it in 3's:

Ride the stationary bike at least 10 minutes 4 nights a week
Walk 30 minutes or longer on the weekend - if it's bad weather I will so another form of exercise for 30 minutes
Walk 2500 or more steps a day

I will review this weekly to adjust!

On my way to a healthier life.

My main goal is to move even on the bad days, so instead of lying in bed in pain I might take just ten minutes out to feel like my life isn't completely controlled by chronic pain. This is my goal for the streak challenge, develop a way to keep fitness going when things get tough.

I got want to do it and do this for me. My mind is in battle and my body is at war. I'm in battle with myself and if I can over come myself than I can over come it all and do it one day at a time, let it go and get one step closer to my goal.

Joining this challenge today! I am pushing myself to be more accountable and focused on consistent steps it takes to COMPLETE this weight loss journey. How many times have we all started and stopped!?! I find that short term goals work best for me. 10 minutes a day s a good starting point. Day 1 here I come,....

I have some physical issues which make traditional exercise difficult, but have to do yardwork and housework. So starting today I commit to doing 10 minutes to 30 minutes a day for my fitness activity. When I started SPARK I was very good about getting in my fitness minutes, but have slacked off from a daily program. So track nutrition, track fitness, and track weight - here I go!!!!

You can do it MJOHEMME! Being able to walk on both of your work breaks is great. I bet it's also good for stress. I found that putting some sliced strawberries in my cereal or oatmeal is a good way to sneak in another veggie.

I do walk at work on both breaks, for a total of 30 minutes 5x a week, so my goal is to do at least 10 minutes of non-walking exercise every day. I also want to increase my fruit and veggie intake, so I will start with eating at least 1 piece of fresh fruit a day.

My goals are to:

1. Walk 10-20 minutes 5 days/week.
2. Do yoga (beginner poses) at least 3 days/week in the AM.
3. Work up to two different kinds of fruit per day. (Fruit is very hard for me, I'm not a big fan but lately I've gotten addicted to having a banana every day.)

The things you want are just outside of your comfort zone. Break through and break through often!

Joining today!! I had committed last week to starting my 10 minute/day exercise today and then found this team just this morning!

Today I am going to get on my bike and head down to the beach. I plan to ride around my hood every day to do easy errands, and maybe to get a pedicure and treat myself for going such a great job last week!

Good luck with the surgery, ELPHABABLUE - I know it will be a challenge to recover after any kind of surgery. Maybe they will give you some therapy; then you can learn what kind of exercises will help your shoulder and follow up with them at home.

I like that tracker; maybe I'll fix myself up with one for August! I think it would keep me more accountable about moving.

Never give up!

I've been tracking activity again for a month now, but I'm going in for shoulder surgery in two weeks. I've built up such great momentum, so I'm sad about having to break it for the surgery. However, getting my shoulder fixed is one of my health goals.

I signed up for this challenge to keep me focused on maintaining some activity while I heal. I know I have to take it easy, so I plan to just walk around the house or maybe get one of those desk peddle thingies. I will also be extra mindful of the calories I take in.

This is a funny...I thought I was going to a Yoga class; I got the day wrong and when I got to the gym it was an aerobic class! I jumped and kicked and lifted weights for an hour! I don't know if I would have gone if I knew what I was getting into; but I am so glad it happened that way, because it felt great! (Tomorrow is Yoga LOL!)

I absolutely LOVE my pedometer ... it's my daily personal challenge to hit that 10,000 steps and it's really fun to try to beat your own high step counts too emoticon

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hello everyone, I too am setting my goal to exercise each and everyday at least 10 minutes. I'll walk, do the mini trampoline, do an exercise video, light weights , dance, yoga etc.

Once I get started I feel great and love it however as we know that first step IS/WAS/USED TO BE the hardest! Not any longer, I'm committed!
Best of Luck to everyone here!

I want to walk 10 minutes everyday. I joined the challenge because I have a bad habit of putting my self last and not taking care of me. I want to lose 10 pounds before I start back to college in Sept. 22.

Super exhausted after work so I have been coming home & taking naps, laying around watching TV, or playing games online. Enough is enough! 10 minutes a day for 4 weeks will help me make working out a habit again :)

I've started this challenge before but haven't ever completed it - or at least not officially.

I think this round will be different. My sister is pregnant and she always wants to go walking. Since she's expecting now, I want to help her have as healthy a pregnancy as we can create and get healthy myself.

I am going to walk 10 minutes a day with my sister during the work week and at home on weekend w/her on the phone.

Pray. Hope. Don't worry.

I am going to do 10 minutes of exercise (cardio, strength, pilates, yoga) every day, no matter what! I already have a pretty good exercise program going, but I like the idea of developing a STREAK of activity every day. It is yet another do to keep motivated and get ConfidentlyFit!

Good morning!
My goal is to get at least 10 minutes of cardio exercise a day. I already do simple things like park in the back of parking lots and such, but I need to get back into an exercise routine and back into a healthy lifestyle. Today I did a 10 minute kick boxing workout video with Nicole. This is a great place to start emoticon

I was inspired by Sparkguys blog about his 10 minute streak to join this team. My goal is to walk for at least 10 minutes, several times a day. Most likely that will be a long walk before work, short walk at lunch time and afternoon break, and a short walk after dinner, routine permitting.

My goal is 10 mins of anything that is moving.. I am disappointed because I use to be an active person always on the go walking playing all sorts of sport but now it is just bumming around looking for excuses to lay down ... well enough of that today I joined this challenge to motivate to keep it going.. today I already did 10 mins on my bike while reading articles from sparks amazing I actually did the full 10 mins time went fast plan on doing some games on the wii fit plus and walking with hubby after dinner..

Taking one day at a time.
I know that I can do it.

My goal is to get in at least 10 minutes every day. I have to admit, I joined in the middle of last week and didn't get in any exercise for the first two days, a very frustrating thing. But I know this is the key, the way, to working myself up to consistent, daily exercise of at least 30 minutes. After my disappointing beginning, I have managed to hop on my exercise bike for at least 10 minutes every day, today I did 20.

It's not a diet, it's not exercise, it's a way of life. Period.

My beginning goal is to get in at least 10 minutes of ANYTHING each day but my overall goal is to get back to my Walk Away the Pounds, start at 1 mile and work my way up to being able to do 3 miles in one session without collapsing, lol :)

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hello! My goal for Week 1 is to "Just Do It"! I don't want to complicate it, or overthink it. Just get up in the morning, every morning, for 7 days and go for a 1 mile walk, actually about 16 minutes for me. Or I can do a minimum 10 minute exercise routine instead, if I choose. Today was my 3rd day in a row of doing this already and I thought I should go ahead and join the challenge!

I goal is to start doing more. 10 more minutes of cardio, 10 more minutes of walking with my kids, 10 more minutes of chasing the kids on their bike. I'm amazed, its day 3 and I ran next to my son while he was on his bike. Didn't think I could ever do that.

Taking my dog for a walk around the neighborhood is 10 minutes, so that isn't a problem. My goal for this challenge is to incorporate 10 minutes additional exercise to my daily walk. I plan to do this by alternating weight training, yoga and time on the elliptical to keep things spicy! I'm psyched. I really am. Thanks for this challenge.

I joined this challenge to remind me to stay active. I have Osteoarthritis in almost every joint on my body, therefore I need to stay active as this is known to help with arthritic joints. This
will also keep me from letting the disease win. I refuse to give up. I want to lose weight, gotta start somewhere. Starting small will help me build a routine that I can build on.

I can do this because I AM WORTH IT

Don't know what happened,, but I had completed weeks 1 and 2, and was in week 3 and I was no longer in the challenge and I was no longer on team. Rejoined challenge today, Thurs 7/17/14.

My goals for this challenge are to begin walking for 15 min, a day and do it 4 days a week and build time and days per week during the challenge.!

My goals are to finish the challenge walking 30 minutes a day, 5 days per week! Have already built up from 10 minutes a day 15 minutes a day, from 3 days per week to 4!. I also hope and plan to have made walking in the mornings a habit. So far, I need to work on my consistency.

Edit 7/22/14:

Don't know what I was thinking when I made these goals! I can't even manage to get out there my 3 days a week consistently! Even when I do, adding that much time and days is moving too fast I think. I remember when I walked or did aerobic tapes 30 min/day, 5 days/week. I hated it and never looked forward to it I like walking now, 15 min at a time, 3 days/week, but I miss sometimes due to trips early in the morn out of town. What I worry most about are I skip days. Don't feel like going. I want to be committed to go. I want to build consistency with what I'm doing before I try to add days.

More reasonable goals:

Finish "my" challenge. Not going to walk EVERYDAY. Let this one guide me..

Get consistent with walking 3 days a week.

Add time as I am physically able Able to do 15 max at aerobic level right now Haven't walked in a week! I'll see if I still can tomorrow..

Looking for a little momentum! I joined this challenge years ago and I am not sure I did even day one. So I quit and re-joined today, and am determined to make this happen. My goal, at least for this first week, is quite modest: at least 10 minutes a day of continuous exercise every day...could be walking, riding my exercise bike, swimming in my pool..that will be my base. I do hope to add additional goals in the coming weeks, but for this week, that is it.

I have been inconsistent with exercise and want to make this a high priority in the next 4 weeks. I know that I'll have challenges every week. This week, it will be a challenge to make it to the gym each day. I'm on track today and have walked 30 minutes.
In the next 4 weeks, my goal is to make purposeful exercise an everyday activity.

M goal is to be consistent and walk on the treadmill at work every day for 10 minutes minimum; that will be 5 days a week. I want to build up to walking at least 6,000 steps per day to a goal of 10,000 steps. My biggest problem is the heat and humidity so will start out insides.

Have a streak already going of doing rebounding and/or walking daily--even if I don't always consistently log it, I'm going it. Now my next streak/goal is focused on strength training. I'm aiming to add a minimum of 10 minutes (6 days a week) of strength training focusing on arms, legs, core on different successive days twice a week with the 7th day off of strength training but keeping up the walking/cardio habit. I hope to gain better strength and metabolism from doing so. I'd welcome hearing from others who are also doing strength training.

My goal is also to walk -- to and from work every day -- a good 18 minute brisk walk in each direction (although, it's uphill coming back!)

I saw PYNETREE's post and wanted to do the same. So here I am. One week later and I've exercised 10-20 minutes 6x the past week, I've got a buddy who texts me and keeps me on track, I do the same for her. Today I'll get in 20 min on the elleptical at noon.

YOU CAN DO THIS!

My goal this month is to exercise for a minimum of twenty minutes at least five days per week. I started with ten in May and bumped to fifteen in June, so now I'm at twenty.

Good luck to all of us.

My goal is to start making exercise a part of my life. Every time I try I plan on these big workouts and I never stick to them. I always end up running out of time or something. But I emoticon CAN and WILL do ten mins a day.

TODAY I am starting fresh. I am Renewed, Recommitted, Strong! emoticon

Like Elizabeth did this week, I want to be here next Sunday, saying I stuck to it - got 10 min. of exercise for 7 straight days!!

Next Sunday is my baby girl's 30th Birthday, and she'll be home visiting us this week. emoticon But, if I am committed to exercising every single day, I think it will help me keep the calories in check.

Well I read the first action step and I've saved all the links to a bookmark on my laptop. This week, I am going to read and act on one article a day in order to add more activity into my day.
