I've been exercising for 10 minutes a day for 11 days now. I'm using the warm-up section of the old President's Council for Physical Fitness booklet from the 1960's as the bases for my exercise program right now. My goal is to keep it up for a month & to add some of the SparkPeople exercises shown in the videos to my program.

I often have cardio exercise (walking, jogging, cycling) but I need to add some strength training because I badly need to tone up my body after having lost weight. Most strength training is very boring for me though so I need a challenge to keep focused and be motivated to exercise a little, but regularly-10 minutes a day is a reasonable goal for me!

Hi. I just joined this group. My goal is to add a 5 minute upper body & 5 minute lower body workout to my walking/jogging routine. On the days that I don't walk, I can still do my 10 minute workouts.

My goal is just to make sure I stay active. I already walk everywhere, but I feel there is room for improvement. Stretching and dance should be a higher priority, and I'd like to squeeze in activity throughout the day rather than just one or two bursts.

I posted this as a main topic, but I think I should have probably posted it here I just don't know if I'm doing it right. :P

anyway, here are my goals for this challenge (from my post in the Week 1 forum):

My first part of this goal will be to walk my dog for 10 minutes in the morning and to keep my feet moving even if the dog stops to sniff. I want to have the walk be a continuous activity instead of lots of stops and starts.

My second part of this goal is to ride my exercise bike for 10 minutes every evening while I practice my Duolingo Spanish on my Kindle. I feel like linking the two together might keep me from forgoing one or the other.

Right after I set up my goal - life got in the way. I am just back from a very relaxing vacation and ready to start again as of 6/28/15. My goal is the same - to start with 5 minutes on the stationary bike (to warm up my knees) and then to walk 10 - 15 minutes on the treadmill 5 days a week while watching TV in the evening.

I've been exercising about 4 days a week. I'm committing to a daily 10 minute fitness burst. It may be 10 minutes of stretching, this will count! I'm aiming for balance, cardio, strength, and flexibility. I want to be strong! 👍

My goal is to increase my daily workouts by 10 minutes! That may include 10 extra minutes of walking, running, hiking, Pilates, strength training, or even dancing!! Wish me luck!

3 days walking, 12, 12 then 21 mins. Around of golf Monday and yesterday a romp in park with granddaughter. Whew!

I'm new to these streaks... but it sounds like a brilliant way to stay accountable! I actually started 2 challenges today. This one, and the "stress busting" challenge. My goal for this challenge is to exercise at least 30 minutes, 7 days a week. No matter how it's broken up that day... just get it in!

It was a great day for me. Over 40 mins of walking and jogging and more than 5000 aerobic steps. Now if I could just get control over my eating.

read it is not such a good idea to exercise with pain.
have had much relief from pain by not exercising the last few weeks.
however, will be recommencing exercises that do NOT cause pain.

Started today. Took a walk for 12 minutes. Walked thru the hip/leg pain. Will do it again tomorrow. One day at a time.

Yesterday I almost didn't walk because I felt lazy but I did it anyways and after 20 mins in, I pushed myself to go another 10 mins and I'm so glad I did. Also got over 5000 steps (5279) for the day (most of it from walking). I need to be more active instead of sitting for long periods of time. Day 5 here I come!

Im usually not one to be active in forums, but this challenge seems like something I could actually achieve! My goal is to exercise for 10 minutes at least once a day to get me started on my weight loss journey so I can be more healthy, happy, and confident
