This is my first week so I will start with stretching in the morning and a gentle walk. It has been a long time since I exercised.

To consistently, purposely do some exercise every day for a minimum of 10 minutes. I've been doing more than that, almost too much, so I may back off some--but I want to make sure I don't back off too much.

I have been on and off the exercise/diet/fitness wagon for a few years now. It seems I fall off when there is a death. First, my father-in-law (who was the only father I ever knew), then my mother, then my wife. It's been spread out over 7 years but when you put a year of two of hard work down the drain, it's harder to get back at it. I hope to use this challenge to restart my fitness goals. I'm on Day 4 for myself and Day 1 of this challenge. Hope to see you all around!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

My goal is to get into a routine of exercising everyday.
I will be happy with just 10 minutes a day.
But I hope to surpass that.

I would like to add 10 minutes of exercise that is not 'necessary.' What I mean by that is these don't count: walking to the bus stop for school, going to the grocery store... etc.

My goal is a minimum of 10 minutes a day of exercise, luckily I have dogs that require walking daily, so I usually get 20 - 50 minutes of walking in daily. I also add other stuff in here and there.

My exercise goal is to exercise at LEAST 10 minutes every day, and to mix it up: walk video, walk outside, bike ride, weights, yoga, and anything else I can think of. I believe that will keep it interesting, and maybe, fun. :)

I joined this challenge because in 2012 I over-trained to the point of getting sick, and last year I broke both of my feet due to over-exercising. My husband, doctor, kids and friends have all been telling me for years to slow down, and be moderate with my activity, so I thought this challenge would be a good idea.

Right now I'm on a 2 days on, 1 day off exercise schedule. My goal is to follow this plan:

Day 1 - Some kind of cardio - elliptical, biking, hiking, DDR (dance game), calisthenics, circuit training, etc.
Day 2 - Strength training - free weights and bodyweight exercises
Day 3 - Rest + walk, elliptical, yoga or active game for at least 10 minutes

Days 4 through 7 will be a repeat, but I plan to get in at least one interval workout every 7-10 days. I will get in at least 10 minutes of movement every day. emoticon

My goal is to work out in the morning (at home) at least 4x a week, and go to the gym or walk in the afternoon at least 3x a week. I will also walk at work during my break or lunch, or do stretches at my desk, every day. I've mostly been on track for this before starting this challenge, but putting it down here will make me even more committed!

I have been lax about getting back into exercising. To me it was always an hour at the gym or nothing at all. 10 min a day is something that will be easy to stick to. I will trade off yoga, walking, and light weights. Today I am going to start with Yoga.

My 10 min streak started today. 10 min of indoor powerwalking.

I'm usually an "all or nothing" person. If I don't have 30 min then I won't do - my excuse is that I'm too busy. But I can find 10 min in the day to make it happen. My goal for this challenge is 10 min daily of purposeful active movement and 1-2 days/week incorporating stretching and flexability.

My goal is to do at least 10 minutes of cardio and do at least one strength training exercise everyday.

Put on some upbeat music.
If you find yourself dancing in your seat, take it a step further. Get up and start dancing on your feet.
You'll burn more calories that way.

I like vitageam and short_cort's goals too. One of my goals is to plan 10 minutes of stretching in the morning, first thing, as I've tended to put off and put off, and dread it all day in the past. To get stronger, to ease pain, and be able to walk more without pain.

Change the I to WE, and Illness becomes Wellness!

My goal for week one is to exercise at different parts of the day to see where it fits into my schedule the best. I also plan to do pilates everyday and take a walk if not everyday then every other day.

My goal is to stop lying to myself about being too busy. I want to intentionally schedule my daily 10 minutes and stop leaving it up to chance.

My goal for this week is to browse and find exercises that I can do and see if I can stick to them every day for just 10 minutes. Sounds easy enough but I don't think it will be as I'm not confident that I can stick to things. So there's a challanfge for me :)

Don't give up!

My goals will be centered around my rehab from rotator cuff surgery. I will slowly be moving from stretching/range of motion exercises to strength using a program set up by my physical therapist. I will be incorporating exercise on my recumbent bike at least 4 days a week into the strength.

My week 1 goal is to try new exercises to see what I can do and stay interested in. My doctor told me no more of what I am accustomed to, so trying a new program and moves for 10 minutes a day should help.

I'm looking to lose another 15 pounds this year, without plateauing, so I'm hoping doing challenges will help me keep going.

Just found this Official 10 Minute Challenge - and i think this may be just what i need. I do challenges in a couple of the teams i belong to, but always seem to drop off about half way thru.
But am thinking this may be a good one for me - will see.

So here i go = Week One. Will come back and list a couple of goals for the first week.

My first week goal was to just get started. I did that and more, and I'm pretty happy about that. Hope to keep that up till the end!

My goal during this Challenge/Streak is to walk 10 minutes a day for three days (Mon, Wed, Fri) and do strength training a minimum 10 days three days (Tues, Thurs, Sat) and yoga or stretching for 10 minutes on the last day (Sun). This should give me a variety of exercises without taxing a body that has not worked out in 10+ years (since I had my first child).

I have been getting in my 10 minute walk every day. ( actually more) On rainy days, I use my exercise bands indoors or go to the gym. My goal is to continue this.

Just came back from a 12 day road trip and discovered I've gained 5 pounds! Time to get back on track and the 10minute challenge looks like a great place to start.

My goal for this challenge is to use this 10 minute daily minimum to get myself back into the habit of exercising. I've been way off track this summer and the scale is up almost 10 lbs. I know how easy it would be to regain the 80 lbs I've lost here at SP and I'm determined NOT to do that.

My goal for the challenge and the first week is to just take the baby step of ten minutes everyday. I may add more later but I want to start small since I get over whelmed easy!
