Started off with a bang 3 months ago, but slowly the wind has left my sails. Taking a new tack, and joining this Team to make me accountable for a new exercise goal: 10 minutes of any kind of exercise 5 days a week. Hopefully I will go from "I need to" to "I want to" with this goal. Also hopefully, allowing myself any type exercise will help me make it happen. I think I got too caught up in "I need to do strength training". Right now I just need to MOVE!

Don't wait for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain.

Took some time away, but am back to working on my goals of 10 or more minutes per day. I already do physical therapy 2-3 days per week, so the main issue for me is consistency on the other days.

My goal is to do 10 minutes of exercise daily in the evening. I'm already doing an hr workout in the morning but come the evening I'm sitting on my butt a lot. So it'd be nice just to throw in 10 minutes of physical activity, keep the physical momentum going.

I do the same thing. I can come up with a zillion excuses why I shouldn't exercise now. I usually give myself a pep talk and remind myself of why I want to exercise. I don't have to exercise (or do anything) but it is MY goal. I find that often I don't want to do something because I am thinking about how this is going to go on "forever" and all the weight I have to lose and it becomes very hard. I just try and bring myself back to the present and remind myself I just have to do this right now - not forever. It doesn't always work, but I would say more often than not it does.

My goal is to get at least 10 minutes of dedicated exercise a day (not just what I do as part of my daily activities), pushing myself hard for half an hour on an elliptical or bike at least 3 times a week. I'm a young adult cancer survivor with lung damage who gained a ton of weight on chemo - and then let it linger for 4 years. I'm ready to lose it - and through massive diet changes, I am down almost 40 pounds in 2 1/2 months with no exercise.

I have been dealing with bronchitis and then pleurisy as a result of this very cold New England winter and my lung damage, so I'm finally at a point where my lungs are OK to work out again! It's hard to walk when it's so cold out, but I am making it a point to get to my gym at work.

Live every week like it's shark week.

My goal is to start exercising in the first place! When it's uncomfortable to move your body and most exercises are difficult because fat gets in the way of the movement, it's harder to exercise. But I can walk, and I will browse videos here and choose the ones I know I can stick with.

I will participate in the 10-minute per day 5 times per week goal.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight O Lord, my strength and my redeemer!

My goal is to exercise for 10 minutes everyday.
Dancing would be fine too, I just have to do something.
And, the last resort, if I really don't feel like exercising, 10-15 minutes of yoga would be fine.

My goal is to do a minimum of 10 minutes walking per day no matter how I feel.

I am actually working my way up to 1 hour exercise group 4 days per week plus 1 mile walk 5 times per week plus 2 hours yoga once per week.

Right now, I am managing the 1 mile 5 times per week plus 2 hours yoga once per week with the occasional exercise group.

My goal is to stay live with this exercise streak. I have done very well. At least 10 minutes of excercise at least 5 days per week. Only, I have been trying to do it every day instead of just 5 days. I am afraid that if I take a day off, I will loose the momentum. So, I guess this is for 100 days in a row--at least 10 minutes of deliberate activity. I'm hoping after 100 days I will have developed a fantastic habit. I feel empowered.

I'm starting out slowly due to an injury that just healed. I'm going to do 10 minutes of exercise every day of my week 1.

I already drink the recommended amount of water every day so I'll continue with that.

Tracking food is a challenge for me but I commit to track food every day this week.

I'm not sure what goals to put so I guess I can start with working out 10 minutes per day to start off with. The weather is clearing up to I think I can do it.

Keep on going. Even if you think you had a bad day, keep on going. You may never know who you're going to influence or what lives you're going to effect.

This is my 1st week of my 10-minute daily exercise streak challenge. I believe I can do 10 minutes of exercise 5 days this week. I never have, but that doesn't mean I can't. I did 35 minutes of strength training today. I mopped floors for 1 hour yesterday, and on Thursday, I shoveled snow for 4 and a half hours. So far, so good.

I need to be healthy. My challenge goals are to exercise ten minutes each day and to record fitness and food with sparkpeople.
I have medical conditions that make any form of exercise difficult for me, and am going to be looking for a mentor to help me out on my weightloss jorney.

My goal is pretty straight forward - get at least 10 minutes of exercise/activity a day for 30 days. I know my biggest challenge will be getting this in on the weekends. I'm looking forward to completing this first week and the feeling of accomplishment I will get!

My goals in joining this challenge are to get back on track. I'm on day 4 of a streak (although I forget to set up a streak until tonight, so it says zero LOL). When I joined in 2009 (and until the past couple of years, when self-care lost the race with extended family caregiving), I became incredibly fit in 3 months, just doing strength training in front of the TV with my husband (no equipment) and 30 minute cardio workouts on alternate days. Now that I'm back, I appreciate the myriad tools provided by SparkPeople (all free Apps but SparkCoach). Love love love your Apps. I appreciate all of you for being here to become healthy, happy and fit, too.

I plan to continue to do at least 30 minutes of strength training 2 to 3 times a week. I plan to walk at least 8,000 steps 5 to 6 days a week. I plan to move as much as I can each day. I teach a senior exercise class for 45 minutes on Mon and Weds mornings, which I will continue to do.

This challenge will get me to the gym, and that is the hard part. Once I get there, I'm usually good for 30-60 minutes. Throughout my 30s, I worked out 90 minutes per day; sometimes twice. Just don't have that time any more.

My goal is to do 10 minutes on my exercise bike daily, for a start. I did this for five days last week but don't know how to track it officially. Very frustrated with that. If anyone can help, please do :)

My goal is to do ten minutes a day during the work week, then extra on the weekends. Saturdays will most likely be six times around the court which is about a half hour walk and Sundays I will try to go for an hour long walk and go to the gym for some strength training.

My name is Terra. I'm an FBI profiler with Fuchsia Beauties Inc

My goal is to consistently exercise 30-60 minutes at least 5 days a week. I will mix up the type of exercise I do, from aquacise, to aerobic class, to snowshoeing, or just treadmill walking.

I exercise by walking which comes out to about 10 minutes a day. My next step now is to exercise inside 10 minutes...everyday. I am inconsistent and trying to build a foundation to rely on.My goal is to be as heart healthy as I can be. So...my new mantra is "Keep moving forward"I need to do this for myself. Its also about learning to motivate myself to set and keep goals. I want to do this challenge for that reason as well.

I want to workout for at least 10 minutes a day - that includes a deep stretch and core. I want to do these 10 minutes on workout days and on rest days to make it a part of my daily routine. I am going to do the 10 minutes before I get ready for bed.

My goal is to start with 10 minutes of walking a day and gradually increase my time and distance as I get stronger and work toward my goal weight. I know it won't be easy, but I know that with the support I am finding on this site I will reach my goal. emoticon

My goal is to exercise using my ski machine during the winter instead of saying it's too cold, too dark, too wet, etc. 10 minutes a day, and then slowly build a lifetime habit which increases as much as I can till I get back to my healthy weight. I got overwhelmed during my kids high school years, but realizing the mistake I need to get back on track to health. This sight is so inspiring. And the advice is sensible not fad craze stuff. I really appreciate it. Nicole is great, I did her senior core workout. Becky's advice is science made simple, and very practical. I feel like I've got personal trainers right in the privacy of my own home. And then the Spark guys motivation, Amazing! thank you all, can't wait to tell you when I hit my goals. But it's going to take awhile for emoticon emoticon . so keep up the good work.

Steady plodding wins the race..

My overall goal is to form healthier habits by adding daily exercise to my life and to lose this extra weight that has caused me to miss out on things in my life. For this 4-week challenge, I want to be consistent in my exercise routine and lose about 5-10 pounds (Although more would be great!).

I need to be more consistent with exercise, especially on weekends.
I want to form a habit of being active every day, not just on scheduled "workout" days.
Hopefully, this will help me lose weight; I've been stuck for a while.

Just call me La. Most everyone else does.
