TAKE THE INITIATIVEl

Don't sit around waiting for enought energy to get going. Get yourself moving and you'll create the energy necessary to keep you in motion. Do yu just not feel like doing anything? That's the time when you can make the biggest positive differnece for yourself by going ahead and taking action anyway. In ways small and largem your world right now is filled with opportunities to make a difference. Take the initiative. The only thing you need to take the first step is

Hi I am doing weight watchers and turbo fire as well and I am either staying the same or gaining weight. I am getting very frustrated. I have been staying within my points range and not eating extra. This week however since it was the 4th of July, I did eat more than I usually would without really cheating and it looks as though I gained again this week. I did lose some inches the 1st couple of weeks but have only lost .4 lbs in the last 2 weeks and no changes in my measurements.
I am supposed to eat 29 points a day. Not sure what I should add for activity points. I am following the turbo fire schedule.
Any advice would be great!

I have been doing turbo forever and just signed up for WW at the beginning of the month. I used it years ago and also like the idea of counting points rather than just calories bc we know cals are not all the same. I'm down to the last 5 pounds and I can totally tell you that this is helping me. I can't believe how my tummy is shrinking with it...

BUT!!!!....

I have been eating all my points, my extra points, my activiity points and in the 3 weeks I've done it I've gone over the points by about 35-40 each week. And yes, my tummy is shrinking. So my word of caution is to make sure you are not under eating. I was trying to do research to find out the average calories in a point and was told it's about 30-40~ so if you are doing a program as crazy as FIRE (and I've done CLX b4 so have good amount of muscle) you may need to add calories in. The last thing we want to do is mess up our metabolism by under-eating. I hope this helps but it's how it's been working for me. I still like the idea of tracking points bc I need structure. If I had a bodybugg would take the guess work out of how much i'm burning and need to eat but at this point I don't. :-)

Im on weight watchers and and started TF last week! I eat about 6 of my activity points sometimes more depending on what all I did in a day. I generally t track my house cleaning , unloading groceries ( up and down 15 stairs including the time it takes me to get my 7 week old upstairs. I also use a pedometer and track my steps that gives me extra points too. I been on WW going into about 4 weeks and Im down 7.1 pounds. I actually lost 2 pounds the first week gained 3 the second and lost 7.1 this last week. I think this is all due to Turbo Fire and increasing my activity levels.

I like using the points because I can see what bad habits I have and how to kick them. I eat lots of fruits and veggies and try to dip certain veggies once per week.

I added weight watchers to my diet/exercise plan early last fall and at first, it was great. It did seem easier to think in terms of points vs. calories and I always felt like I had enough for the Turbo Fire workouts. Lately I have been struggling to balance the points and working out (ever since the plan changed it has been more difficult for me).

On another board, I read that some people use their activity points before using their extra weekly points so I might try that.

Best of luck everyone!

I think I'm going to do WW and TF, too. I have a WW online account. I signed up for it a month ago, then got mono, so I haven't started it yet. I'm also thinking of starting with the Inferno Plan as a kick start to get me going again.

Thanks Jennifer, that is good advice. I am also trying not to dip too much into those extra points as well. I find I am using 4 extra points a day.

I am on WW and doing turbo fire! I like counting points.. I think its easier than counting calories for sure. As far as activity points I never eat more 4... even if I do the longer workouts... I feel like that is enough for me.

I just started Weight Watchers online on Monday because I was finding I kept going over my allotted calories on Spark People because of the veggies and fruits I was eating. I found doing the Turbo Fire and Spark People I was toning up but not losing my belly or any weight so I thought Weight Watchers would shake things up. That is the only drawback I am finding with Weight Watchers is that I can't just enter my calories burned from Turbo Fire from my Heart Rate Monitor. I count any of the Fires or Hits as high intensity and the sculpting or toning as low intensity....I am still trying to figure it out but I have to say the online Weight Watchers pretty user friendly..I signed up for 3 months for $65 just to get my portion size under control...then I'll go back to the Spark People again emoticon

How many activity points do you give yourself for doing TurboFire? You can earn a lot of activity points for doing Turbo Fire if you categorize it as high intensity level. I just feel uneasy about eating that many extra points. If considered moderate intensity, I would get 4 extra points, if considered high intensity, I would get 9-10 extra points, depending on the length of the workout. That's a big jump from 4 points to 9 points. I guess the safe thing to do is just go in between both numbers.

Also if you do weight watchers, have you found it to be easier counting points than just tracking calories on Sparkpeople? I am considering joining Weight Watchers (I have several coworkers on WW that would be good support) but when I think about paying to do ww online when I can resume Sparkpeople for free, I am trying to see is it really worth it?
