Seriously, good job taking the steps to get things under control. It's so hard to deal with stressful times, but you'll be able to deal with them even better when you're feeling better. I have found this program is slow and steady, and I feel constant improvement. And I feel better, stronger, and better able to deal with stress - more emotionally level, I guess. I hope you feel the same too!
I think the sandals are a great idea. Then you'll have to get out somewhere non-food related to enjoy showing them off!

I've always rewarded myself with food--mainly dessert. I'm working on my masters degree right now and am very stressed out. I typically (over)eat when I am stressed, and I just haven't been feeling my best lately. So, I joined SP, have been tracking my food, am making a concerted effort to eat better--buy fresh, take my lunches, just say 'no' to the snack machine, etc-- and now only keep fat free pudding in my apartment.
My reward for eating better and finishing my proposal for school will be a pair of sandals that I have been wanting that cost more than I normally spend on shoes. Of course I am also hoping I will start feeling better, which would be even more of a reward than the sandals.
