Oh that is awesome! Thanks for reading my post! Yeah, recovery is a cool thing, especially if you can "live" it and not just talk it! hehe Best wishes!

I am also in recovery and want to applaud you for sticking to it. It is not easy, but the benefits are amazing!

Years ago I struggled with addiction and just celebrated 3 years of recovery. However, I have learned that anything I do (including food, sports, work, relationships, etc.) can quickly become an addiction for me, so moderation, focus and goal setting is very important in my life today. When I quit drinking I gained weight. I was also in a car accident and later broke my elbow in another incident and am FINALLY back on track to losing weight!

I have never had to be on a diet before and so dieting along with exercise are new to me. So my boys and I have made this a family affair to healthier living! They are my heroes, my idols in this venture and my two biggest cheerleaders and motivators. Aside from setting sprint triathlon goals and healthy organic eating habits with them, our "simple rewards" we use to keep us motivated are after a hard week of dedication is that we take family time to go out to eat once about every other week to moderately splurge on tasty food without ordering diet or lite or special meals. We just don't overdo it either. But then after that, we get right back to our normal routine!

Because of the struggles and obstacles I have had to overcome, winning the $1,000 shopping spree would be a wonderful treat to help me get to the next level of my recovery and gaining my professional career back and enhance my personal and family life.

Thanks, best wishes and continue to work hard!
