It's hard to be motivated sometimes especially if you don't see the numbers going down. I too sabotage myself. Rewarding yourself is one way of staying on track. The weekends are the hardest for me. But allowing myself a treat really works to get though it.

I read something on SP.com the other day that stopped me in my tracks, "Lack of motivation may be a result of secretly wanting to think and feel negatively about yourself." I don't know why because it seems crazy but this is me. As much as I want to improve my health and physique, I repeatedly sabotage my own efforts because I am afraid to succeed, held hostage by my own low self-esteem.

Giving myself a reward for sticking to my goals is one way to turn my negative thinking into positive thinking! Getting my nails done, buying a new workout outfit, seeing a movie?
