I have found success with my 11 year old daughter with a lot of the recipes in Tosca Reno's cookbook - The Eat Clean Diet for Family & Kids. Easy to leave out or substitute for any meat in the recipes. One of my daughter's faves is Baked Ziti. She also likes a ton of the recipes in a book I purchased online about avoiding MSG - www.msgmyth.com Some of these need doctoring also, but great ideas - one of my daughter's faves here is Cornmeal Pancakes - I add a pinch of sugar or other sweetener. Her version of Boston Coolers is awesome as well - instead of ginger ale & ice cream it uses ice, ground ginger, sugar, sparkling water, & milk (we use rice milk). Yummm...

I don't know where you live but if you have a Souplantation or Sweet Tomatoes take them there and let them choose a teaspoon size of what ever they want to try a variety of and I'm betting they will find a number of fruits and veggies that you can build on for meals at home.
Exercise 1st... Spark 2nd. Works for me!
Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't I give myself reasons why I can.

My kids, especially my 7 year old who wants only three foods... ice cream... bananas and Cheezits... I buy all natural ice cream and organic free trade bananas... but let's face it you can't pass off Annies Cheese crackers on a kid who loves Cheezits.... LOL!
If you have had some successful meals with young kids (I'm looking for something the whole family can eat... I prefer to make only one meal for everyone) please share. (We don't eat pork or beef....)

Wherever you are, be there totally. If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you have three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally.
