I don't buy sweetened (or flavored), so I think I'll try it w/o dates but it's fun to think of possibilities, like adding other dried fruit (blueberries, cherries) for fun.

I would probably make almond milk at home except I get most of my calcium from it, and that's an added ingredient I'm not sure how to measure in.
I use Silk (because they use non-GMO almonds) unsweetened vanilla (only 30 calories per cup and the vanilla makes it sweet enough). But it also gives me like 40 or 45% of my calcium so a cup in the morning and one at night and I'm good.
If anyone has a recipe which adds a calcium component, I might give it a try. Yes, I *could* take supplements, but I hate swallowing pills, I much prefer my vitamins and minerals in my food instead of in a capsule.
Hi Memare, I usually purchase my favorite brand of almond milk at the store, but I checked out the recipe you shared with us, and it sounds delicious. I know that almond milk is not that difficult to make, but I do enjoy the brand I buy. However, I do believe I want to give that recipe a try. The suggestions offered for using the leftover almond pulp sounded tasty and are a great way to make maximum use of the ingredients. Thanks for sharing.
