As I'm looking at a kitchen in chaos and a living room with the the remnants of opening packages, my goal, once the sun comes up, is to straighten, straighten, straighten.

Enjoy your day.

My goal for this week is to get back on track after the wedding and b/d party this weekend. Even though I stayed within my calorie range, it wasn't with the right kind of calories and the scale showed it this morning. UGH!

What are your goals for today/this week?

My goals for today will be to finish with the weekend challenge of organizing and getting my strength exercise in. I will get cardio working in the yard.

I was born in Cleveland, OH. I grew up in Middlefield, OH which is one of the Amish communities of Ohio. After I married, lived in Hiram Twp, just outside of Hiram - the home of Hiram College and former home of James Garfield. Then lived for a year in Garrettsville and now in Freedom Twp. a few miles outside of Garrettsville. Always been in Ohio - but still would love to live in TN!

I was born in Oakdale, California (near Modesto). I spent the first 13 years of my life there. Then, in 1963, we moved to Gooding, Idaho, where my father realized his dream of being a farmer. I attended 8th Grade through 12th, graduating from Gooding High School in 1968. Then, moved to Boise with my new husband.

I LOVE my crocs! Didn't think I would but they really are comfortable and I can shop in them all day! They are NOT good for sand or puddles as it gets in the holes!!

I live in Reef flip flops almost year round or Lands End Mary Jane Trekkers. But, I LOVE shoes and according to my GD, have more shoes than anyone on earth!!! I cannot wear heels anymore, ruined my feet wearing them when I was in my 20-40's...

First of all - I hate shoes! LOL But, when I'm forced to wear them, I like Nike walking shoes. Never tried crocs - the idea of them just doesn't appeal to me. Seems they'd be hot and sweaty? I wear Totes canvas sandals in the summer. Around the house I'm barefoot or wear the No Nonsense sport sox when it's colder.

I have been seeing the ads on Sparkpeople for Crocs(shoes). Do any of you wear them? What is your favorite shoe? Do you have a brand you choose all the time?

I tried Crocs on because I have a friend who wears them all the time. While she loves them, I did not like them. They did not feel comfortable.

I have a closet full of Clarks, mostly for everyday. For walking and workouts I have usually used Sketchers. Recently was fitted in some walking shoes a totally different brand at a specialty shoe store in town for runners, track and athletes. So far so good.

Now, I would have to say Big Cedar Lodge and Resort in SO MO. We go there quite often and just kick back and enjoy the beautiful place, walk, and relax for a time.

My daughter got me hooked on Spark. She had been on the BLC website and they were going to a paid site. Some of her teammates were switching to Spark, so she did and started her own team: Forty, Fat, and Fed up (but married to a wonderful man). LOL Since I didn't quite fit into that category, except married to a wonderful man, I searched out a team in my age category and landed here - my original team. Been here since January of 2008 I believe.

Another group I'm a member of has what they call "Website Wednesday," where we recommend sites to each other. Someone on there told us about it, and I joined several years ago. I too have been through all the other options--WW meeting, WW online, etc.--and this site is absolutely the best!

When did you join Spark and what/who brought you here?

This Aug will be 4 years on Spark. Although I didn't really get active until about Nov. I was on Denise Austin and Diet.com and spending money to be a member. I had also found fitday to log my food and activity. I think just searching I found this free site with so much to offer. Here I stayed!! emoticon

Walking, hands down! In Fl. I walk outside, unless it's windy. In NY I walk on my treadmill, but I think I'm going to start walking outside again. We have some inclines that really make it a good work out!

Walking at the beach is so rewarding to watch the waves and the birds. Also, I splurged and got a trainer at the gym and she worked my you know what off. I never realized I could do so many things. Weight training and floor exercises are really good for all of us and I encourage everyone to try them and be diligent. It all takes time and effort.
Have a great walk and lift as you can...

Walking outside. We live in Florida and we walk early so the sun isn't shining on us.

In NY we walk also and my daughter Jenn who walks with us said the lady in the blue sweatsuit just asked her where were her mother and father. Guess I'll have to ask her her name when we are up there in June.

I've pretty much given up on my favorite--walking--because of physical limitations. I tried yoga a few years ago and couldn't get into it, but I'm thinking it may be time to look at it again. So, right now I guess I have no favorite. emoticon

We love walking outside. I have to find my coins for the day and soda cans. We meet alot of people to talk to also.

They sort of know what our schedule is and boy they will tell us if we are late too or have missed a day because of the weather...Merri

I would say walking outside until it gets to hot. Then I have to make due with a walking DVD or Wii Fit.

WALKING or Hiking....getting out in the sun, the country side. It is very stress reducing!
